Alexander the Great Triple Crown

I'm very pleased to present the Alexander the Great Triple Crown Jewels to Lee Vilenski, for your work on "Did you know?" and the good and featured article processes! — Bilorv (talk) 21:50, 31 March 2021 (UTC)

Congrats on the Triple Crown! You might be interested in a userbox I made, {{User crown|Alexander}}:

Wheels of Aurelia

I provided some more input on the GA review. I'm going to extend the time for it because I think there's enough content to be a GA, but needs to be revised. Also because I think at this point, four GA reviews for the article is enough and shouldn't need any more reviews.Blue Pumpkin Pie (talk) 23:24, 31 March 2021 (UTC)

Hey Lee, I just wanted to ask if you could expedite the deletion of Hassenfeld Children's Hospital (a redirect) so I can move a article in it's place. I figured I would ping you because you have helped before with this. Thanks in advance, Andrew nyr (talk, contribs) 15:40, 1 April 2021 (UTC)

I have made the changes, and moved the article Andrew nyr. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 16:57, 1 April 2021 (UTC)

Thank you for pinging the user in question

Hello there,

I am not sure if you meant for there being ill-will by bring up the user in question or if it was done in a mocking way (mocking me specificially) that I could not see through the medium of text on the internet, but I thank you for at least knowing of the user I bring into question on the editing decision they have made on the page in question.

If you know of any appropriate and more official means to talk to administrators on the website to discuss their behavior, I would like to take such actions if that is at all a possibility.

Thank you for your time.

Hi! Thanks for getting in touch. I am an administrator here. General practice (as well as good manners) is to ping the user in question when you talk about them. What you are currently engaged in is a WP:content dispute which the resolution is to discuss on the talk page. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 15:14, 3 April 2021 (UTC)

Hello Lee! I hope you are doing well! Since you already provided some comments on its 2nd nomination, would you mind commenting on the 3rd FAC? It is about to get closed and I really think it has a good chance for the article to pass now since its prose has been revamped. Thanks! — Tom(T2ME) 08:53, 11 April 2021 (UTC)

Of course. I lose track of which articles I've reviewed, but I'm happy to put some notes together. Might take a couple days though. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 09:11, 11 April 2021 (UTC)

flagicon vs flagathlete

Hi. I've noticed that these templates are inconsistently applied to snooker articles. Most parts seem to use the latter template, while occasionally the flagicon template is used. Does it matter which one is used, or is there a standard thats meant to be used for these? Thanks! --CitroenLover (talk) 21:12, 12 April 2021 (UTC)

CitroenLover First use of flag should define what country is being depicted in the flag. That's why it's used for the first round of the main draw, and the first round of qualifying. Later uses can be flagicon, but sometimes (like at this year's world's) there is new nationalities entering in later rounds. We could just use flagathlete strictly for that one person, but it looks lame and quite confusing, so we generally do the whole round if there is a new flag being used. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 06:09, 13 April 2021 (UTC)
I see, thanks for explaining! --CitroenLover (talk) 12:42, 13 April 2021 (UTC)
No worries! It's a bit confusing. It's an adaptation of MOS:FLAG, but basically any items we took to WP:FAC were denied due to not defining flags. See Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/2018 World Snooker Championship/archive1 for more details. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 13:49, 13 April 2021 (UTC)

Thank you for appreciating my work

Hi Lee, Thank you for appreciating my work on snooker articles. Best Wishes to you, Mrloop (talk) 20:08, 14 April 2021 (UTC)

You are more than welcome Mrloop. Apologies if I ever come across as a bit brash, I just want to get the articles into a really good shape, and often the question is whether or not the information is sourced, rather than correct, or if things are encylopedic enough to be kept. Your work has been great, and I for one appreciate the hard graft. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 13:43, 15 April 2021 (UTC)

Two reviews from the GA drive

Hello Lee, I'm having a bit of a problem with two reviews from the March GA backlog drive. I'm the reviewer for Talk:Reginald of Canterbury/GA1. I've pointed out only a few things for the nominator to fix. After they didn't respond for a while, I decided to fix these things myself. I have asked them to confirm that they approve of my changes but they haven't got back to me. Would it be okay to give the article a pass? It was at a good level even before my changes.

The other review is Talk:Burgos trials/GA1. The reviewer had identified some issues which I tried to fix on 2 April. They haven't reacted to my comments so far. Although they have indicated that they will respond eventually, I'm worried they may not. What would be the appropriate procedure in such cases? As with the other one, the article is well on track and isn't far away from meeting the criteria. Best, Modussiccandi (talk) 08:56, 19 April 2021 (UTC)

Hi Modussiccandi, yeah, it's fine to do non-controversial cleanup on a GAN review as a reviewer, the first one is fine. If the nominator isn't responding, you can either give them a deadline, or look for someone else to take over the nomination from a suitable wikiproject. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 14:51, 19 April 2021 (UTC)

DYK for 2021 Tour Championship

On 19 April 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article 2021 Tour Championship, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that runner-up Ronnie O'Sullivan almost withdrew from the 2021 Tour Championship after sending his cue stick for repair twice before the event? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/2021 Tour Championship. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, 2021 Tour Championship), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

A late thank you note and advice

I reread your replies to "Help with citing enough about a Living Person" (still unsure how to link also) and wanted to say thank you for helping and finding an article which may have helped.

For this article of Jamie Miller to be kept does he just need to release his album and have a load more Featured articles wrote about him? Draypowis (talk) 00:24, 29 April 2021 (UTC)

No problem Draypowis - I did a little cleanup on the article. I changed the tag - but currently there is no deletion hanging over the article. Deletion discussions can happen at any time for any article, but I think this person just meets the notability guidelines, so just needs a little more press to make it more unlikely it would ever get nominated.
