Your recent edits

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 23:20, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

Help

Maybe one of these introductory pages will answer your question:

If not, place another "helpme" below here, and write your question under it. JohnCD (talk) 15:37, 5 April 2013 (UTC)

Sorry bout that.

Please help me with my use page, I do not want what is below the userboxes to be recessed into them like they are now. Please tell me how to do that instead of just doing it so that I can know how to do it as well. Thanks!

There is an empty line right above the section header == My Wiki Projects ==. Place a special template on that empty line. The template is the {{-}} "clearing" template. Just type...
{{-}}
...on that empty line (type the hyphen/dash from your keyboard). That should bring the section down just below your userboxes. Click on Template:- for more info. – PAINE ELLSWORTH CLIMAX! 17:20, 5 April 2013 (UTC)

could you please tell me how to put the "this user is a Teahouse host" topcon thing? Thanks! -- Thus Spake Lee Tru. 13:37, 22 April 2013 (UTC)

If you are a WP:Teahouse/Host landing#Lee Tru. you can represent that using the {{Teahouse topicon}} template. Technical 13 (talk) 14:05, 22 April 2013 (UTC)
I'm watching this discussion to make sure that your question was answered, please do not split up the discussion...
The top line of your user page reads:
{{Teahouse topicon}}{{Autoconfirmed topicon}}{{Wikipedia:WikiDragon/topicon|39|-25}}{{User:Jimbo Wales/guestbook/icon}}
It should read:
{{Teahouse topicon| icon_nr = 3}}{{Autoconfirmed topicon| icon_nr = 2}}{{Wikipedia:WikiDragon/topicon|39|-25}}{{User:Jimbo Wales/guestbook/icon| icon_nr = 0}}

help!

why, is it that when I go to asses an article (in a WikiProject tag), only stub and start classes work, when I try to put in a rating of C, it comes out as start, and B comes out as nothing.-- Thus Spake Lee Tru. 14:38, 13 May 2013 (UTC)

For the {{WPMILHIST}} template, all the questions must be answered in the parameters shown on the template documentation page. For example, Nazi Germany has been assessed as C-class, and the talk page template looks like this: {{WikiProject Military history|class=C|German=yes|WWII=yes|B-Class-1=no|B-Class-2=yes|B-Class-3=yes|B-Class-4=yes|B-Class-5=yes}}. While any editor can promote articles to classes up to B-Class, the WP:MILHIST suggests all promotions to B-Class (and above, of course; the highest three levels require a formal review process) be done by an independent editor (i.e., not a primary contributor). If you're not sure what class an article is, you can list it at the wikiproject assessment page. There's more information about the template at Template:WikiProject Military history and about the MILHIST assessment team at Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/Assessment. -- Dianna (talk) 19:08, 13 May 2013 (UTC)

Changes to SuggestBot's suggestions

We have changed the number of suggested articles and which categories they are selected from. The number of stubs has been greatly reduced, the number of articles needing sources doubled, and two new categories added (orphans and unencyclopaedic articles). We have also modified the layout of the suggestions and added sortable columns with various types of information about each article. The first two columns are:

Views/Day
Daily average number of views an article's had over the past 14 days.
Quality
Predicted article quality on a 1- to 3-star scale. Placing your cursor over the stars should give you a pop-up describing the article's quality (Low/Medium/High), current assessment class, and predicted assessment class.

The method we use to predict article quality also allows us to assess whether an article might need specific types of work in order to improve its quality. The work needed might not correspond to cleanup tags added to the article, since our method is not based on those. We have added five columns reflecting this work assessment, where a red X indicates improvement is needed. Placing your cursor over an X should give you a pop-up with a short description of the work needed. The five columns seek to answer the following five questions:

Content
Is more content needed?
Headings
Does this article have an appropriate section structure?
Images
Is the number of illustrative images about right?
Links
Does this article link to enough other Wikipedia articles?
Sources
For its length, is there an appropriate number of citations to sources in this article?

SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. We appreciate that you have signed up to receive suggestions regularly, your contributions make Wikipedia better — thanks for helping!

Lee Tru., we moved your Teahouse host profile

Hello Lee Tru.! Thank you for being a host at the Teahouse. However, we haven't heard from you lately, so our bot has moved your Host profile from the host landing page to the host breakroom. No worries; you can always just Check in and our bot will move your profile back. Editing any Teahouse-related page will do the same thing for you. If you would prefer not to receive reminders like this, you can unsubscribe here. Thanks for your help at the Teahouse! HostBot (talk) 03:50, 29 May 2013 (UTC)

Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot

We are currently running a study on the effects of adding additional information to SuggestBot's suggestions. Participation in the study is voluntary. Should you wish to not participate in the study, or have questions or concerns, you can find contact information on the SuggestBot study page.

IMPORTANT CHANGES: We have modified the selection of articles SuggestBot suggests and altered the design to incorporate more information about the articles, as described in this explanation.

Note: All columns in this table are sortable, allowing you to rearrange the table so the articles most interesting to you are shown at the top. All images have mouse-over popups with more information.

Sources
