Leah Zanoni is a writer based in New York City who has been writing professionally for many outlets for twelve years, had many art shows in Manhattan and who has just finished her first novel. She has been a dynamic part of the Downtown music and art scene in Manhattan for 8 years, and is only becoming more well known. She deserves to have a page on Wikipedia, and you should reconsider deleting this page, because just because she isn't Britany Spears doesn't mean she is a nobody, dig?

{{hangon}

What you delete today you may simply have put back up tomorrow, artists and writers are real people, working people, professional people, just because you haven't heard of them doesn't mean they are not important and relevant and the irony is, as soon as her book comes out, then you will find Zanoni relevant, when she is relevant now as she will be then. She has an enormous body of work here in Manhattan and deserves to be noted on Wikipedia. her audience is only growing.

A tag has been placed on Leah Zanoni, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --NMChico24 03:47, 9 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Leahbeez, I think you misunderstood NMChico24. You needed to add the {{hangon}} tag to the article itself. Also, simply because she is a writer does not make her notable. If you could cite books, magazine articles or web sites to show how she is a notable figure, then the page might be able to stay up. -- Kesh 04:48, 9 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
