Sigmund Freud edit

I restored the Scientist infobox for two reasons. First and foremost, you should have discussed such changes on the Talk page to determine how others feel about the change. That is standard procedure on Wikipedia for major (and potentially controversial) changes. Secondly, although Freud's work covers several areas, his training was in medicine and he practiced as a physician. And it is grossly inaccurate to describe his work as "19th century". He did most of his work at the turn of the century and later. Ward3001 (talk) 00:55, 26 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Claude Lévi-Strauss edit

Congratulations on the nice summary of structuralist thought in Lévi-Strauss' ideas you just added. It would probably be a good idea to add some direct references, before some of these more stupid Wikipedia editor/admin types wipes out your pretty original contribution. Thanks for the complement. I have added some sources in which just about everything I outlined can be found. They should be sufficient, but if they are not, just let me know.

Kinship edit

Hello there. I am a member of WikiProject Anthropology, where we are currently trying to develop the article on kinship, which is, as you can see, in a very poor state. Levi-Strauss' Elementary Structures of Kinship should, of course, be considered a key text for that article, and I'm very keen to make sure that his contribution to our understanding of kinship is properly represented. As you are clearly interested in writing about Levi-Strauss' thought, perhaps you'd care to visit the talk page for the kinship article and offer your thoughts on what should be included and how best to include it? Thanks for your time! Robotforaday (talk) 03:53, 2 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Søren Kierkegaard edit

I reverted your recent edits in this article. The links you deleted as 'dead' appear active to me. Was there some mistake? Regards, Alcmaeonid (talk) 14:03, 28 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

They're really active? Religion-online.org hasn't been working for me for weeks. --Le vin blanc (talk) 07:40, 29 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
They work fine for me. Must be a browser issue (I use Mozilla Firefox btw.) ~ Alcmaeonid (talk) 14:00, 30 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
