Georgian-Soviet war edit

I accidentally found out about this draft by Kober from you notifying Halibutt and Piotrus on their talk pages wich happen to be on my watchlist, while I don't check them regularly. I am a bit surprised by the narrow choice of editors who you informed and asked to take a look at the draft.

Are they known for being particular experts in Georgian history? Or in the Russian one? Or, more narrowly, in the times of the Russian Civil War? There is a place where you can attract attention of the editors who have some background on those topics. It is the announcement boards of the Portal:Russia. Please use those boards if you would be seeking some advise on Russia-related topics. --Irpen 23:17, 18 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Various phobias edit

Hi Luis, as you are well aware yourself as an avid admirer of Georgia and Wikipedian, certain lingering post-Soviet phobias (Caucasophobia comes to mind) have spilled onto this project. Another such shameful occurance is rearing its ugly head at Talk:Jogaila, where several Russian editors have recruited each other and formed an unholy, Polonophobic alliance to stamp out a King's name. Come take a look, and -prior to accustoming yourself with the argumentations of both sides- voice your humble opinion Truthseeker 85.5 11:35, 26 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Armenia in Europe edit

I am a member of the AMA (Association of Members' Advocates) currently acting on behalf of User:Caligvla, who has named you as one of the participants in the dispute over whether Armenia is in Europe or Asia. Caligvla has listed a number of reference sources classifying Armenia as an Asian country. He claims that the only sources quoted by your side of the dispute are 1.) an obsecure Canadian website that places Armenia in Europe, and a BBC article that mistakenly places Armenia in Europe. Can you please respond to this and give your side of the argument (preferably on my userpage)? Under the AMA principle of audi alteram partem, you have the right to be heard. (NB Copies of this message have been placed on the talkpage of all those who Caligvla has named as participants in the dispute.) Walton monarchist89 09:27, 2 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Rwandan Genocide images edit

I have deleted the various images you uploaded for this article as having bad licensing. United Nations images are not in the public domain. See their copyright. Similarly, you claimed Image:DWF15-662252.jpg of stacked skulls was from here and therefore PD as work of the US government. This photo is not at that page and I would know if it was because I had already pulled every appropriate photo off of that page. This image has been deleted as well. Besides all this, you have uploaded images from a .gov address claiming PD, apparently on the assumption they are PD as a US government employee on official business took them. This is not true as the government uses many images copyrighted from third party sources. Since all the source links for these are broken and can no longer be checked, I've deleted them as well. These sort of copyright messes help no one but the lawyers who get paid to sort them out. Read Wikipedia:Image copyrights, don't make up public domain licenses and link to the page you find images, not the location on the image server of a site where you can't tell if someone has explained the copyright issues. - BanyanTree 19:01, 2 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Blocked edit

You've been blocked for 24 hours over your 3-revert rule violation over the deletion of Image:Putypute982.jpg. I have advised the other party to take the deletion request to WP:IFD; the issue is too complicated for speedy deletion. When you return, do not remove other editors' changes repeatedly, especially not speedy deletion tags on pages you created. Mangojuicetalk 15:50, 16 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

I've tagged this image as "no license" since your claim that works of the UN is public domain is sadly not correct. --Sherool (talk) 08:40, 17 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
