David Levy (psychologist)

edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of David Levy (psychologist), and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Template:X9. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. David Levy

edit

Hmm, I just went to Category:1954 and he's clearly there, under the alphabetize of Levy, David. Ditto for Category:American psychologists. Yes, the discussion tab only becomes blue is someone adds a comment on the article (like suggesting a new section or describing a change they made). Hope that helps. Oh, and good article! MBisanz talk 21:17, 20 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I think I can answer your question. To add a link to the PDF in the article, it need to look like LA times PDF which is coded as [[Image:DrDavidLevyAndTheLakers PartTwo.pdf|LA times PDF]]. Its a site policy that we can't directly link to things in the Media section, only through the indirect Image section, in order to preserve file associations and copyrights. Thats why the offsite link to the Turabian PDF, which isn't on our servers works, but an external link to the Levy PDF on our servers doesn't work. So basically at this point, you just need to add the permission and license info to the PDFs when you upload them, alternatively communicating it to WP:OTRS and getting an OTRS number (thats the better way, but other methods exist). No problem in the upload, just a linking issue. MBisanz talk 00:41, 14 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

LA Times permissions

edit

Thanks for the info. I think we're making progress. Since my email isn't located on the Wikipedia servers, sending me the permission doesn't really help. What we need to do is to get WP:OTRS to validate it. User talk:Mr.Z-man is a user on that system (I'm not), so I'm going to ping him and ask him to advise you how to send th permission. They'll generate a numbered tag that will identify the image's license, etc. MBisanz talk 20:49, 24 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

You can request the copyright holder send an email to permissions-en[at]wikimedia.org (replacing [at] with @) releasing the content under a free license. Note that "permission for use on Wikipedia" is not sufficient. It must meet Wikipedia's fair use rules OR it must be under a free license (Public domain, GFDL, Creative Commons) that allows modification and has no "non-commercial" restrictions. Thanks for uploading File:DavidLevy psychologist.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
