I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to TeXify the equations on the nondimensionalization, and the creation and annihilation operators page. WikiReader

Firstly, thanks very much for showing an interest in the project! I, similarly not an historian, considered that the vast resources of wikipedia could probably put together a comprehensive textbook, though you are the first respondent of any kind I've got! I will certainly stick your suggestions on the page, and any other thoughts you have, please feel free to put them there.

I am in the middle of exam season at the moment, so I'll have very little time to do anything over the next couple of months. Category:Physics

Laura, please don't move articles back in. Instead, I suggest creating a nice introductory article that introduces a number of topics at once. I've moved almost 200 articles out of this category, I want to have a core of 20 or 30 left. Between the category leaders, and the remaining articles, there's about a hundred links that will remain. Adding things back to the general category doesn't help in any way. Things like Zeeman effect don't qualify. Its one of hundreds of topics that undergrads will learn about ... moon tides due to gravitational potential wells are just as interesting (and the physics of which are similar to zeeman effect) ...but that's not listed. Instead, focus on improving a few articles that are category leaders, such as atomic physics which currently pretty much sucks as an intro to that topic. linas 17:23, 1 May 2005 (UTC)

Hi, yes, I'm thinking that we need a Category:Introductory physics for things like potential well. I ran across a number of topics that are taught to undergrads as "general concepts" (such as potential well), but don't have legs, don't go anywhere; aren't talked about as a topic of current physics research. ("Oh, what do you do? I study potential wells") ("Did you see the new book by Wolfram on potential wells?") Hi Laura,

Please feel free to join the party at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Mathematics. I think I agree with you, the current structuring is a mess. But I didn't bring this up, and I don't want to do the work myself. Only one tiny bit of practical advice: *first*, merge all the articles into one. Get that one article to work. Then, because it will end up being too big, split it out into pieces. Then it will be clear what the pieces should be, and whether or not we actually need distinct articles on covariant and contravariant vectors, or tensors, or whatever. linas 07:07, 22 May 2005 (UTC)

i am user why writing some polemic articles and autor of Japanese nationalism.

in first place,i how poses very little oportunity to knowed in read japanese first hand sources,knowed some japanese persons why living in these historical times and poses some ancient books at respect.in my proper family exists some japanese ancestors or another oldests parents reffer about japanese secret agents why knowed during wartimes too,if this my personal identification with these interesting country and your history.

over my interests in jap history,i am readed in depth about Japanese military aircrafts,weapons,the navy plan against panama canal and Subs I-400 and the Japanese army plans for invaded soviet siberia. but i poses informations over the Japanese lifestyle and other things relationed with Japanese empire,and treated in my limits to sended ,but no poses the adequate "instruments" for making this.

i am no stay interest in poses authority licenses or liked any fame or none similar,my particular interest stay in sended any very little knowed info or in case of battles mentioned,my pourpose reiterally if no atributed any autority in writing,is unically giving to know about these historical details,but when i advised about the autority rigth violation,one thing i very little knowed for me,inmendiatelly decided to retireing this.

texas rangers refs

LOL. thanks! i noticed the things were flipped, but had written it off to changes in the template; i'd seen them arguing about what symbols to use, whatever. ha. appreciate the fix and the note. now i need to flip them all in the bonnie and clyde page. what an idiot!

yeah, the refs on the texas rangers page were meant to be mostly general, i guess, though one might be able to find logical points to put them. they were the refs i used, but i don't think it makes much sense to assign them to one fact. any suggestions, please let me know. thanks. just got around to really looking into the ref/note system (via the link you provided -- which i'd seen before but just skimmed). probably not going to use it anymore. i think it's a disincentive to providing references, and a system that won't be around much longer. if it's your preference, please don't hesitate to zap those tags entirely in the texas ranger refs. Private negotiations

The private negotiations were really aimed towards being able to get them to a point where they could discuss the a compromise civily on Talk:Texas rather than actually decide one. I tried to accomplish this through encouraging mutual apologies and discussion of possible compromises. There is no compromise, per se, that has been agreed on, only ideas I threw out to them for getting feedback as to what might be acceptable to them. My intention always was/is to get them to remove the uncivil diatribe and replace it with a more civil conversation (with an understanding of what each of them would and would not agree to, hopefully avoiding another flare up). I've never lived anywhere near the monument, but simply always heard Herman the German as an alternate name for Arminius. This says the official name is Herman monument though. --05:26, 13 July 2005 (UTC)
