Orphaned non-free image (Image:MTV05a.gif) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:MTV05a.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 16:09, 14 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image copyright problem with File:Mitsubishi Jeep.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Mitsubishi Jeep.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

May 2009 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Words (F. R. David song) has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \byoutube\.com (links: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yheseojdgzi, http://www.youtube.com/index?ytsession=wVzbJclDv2gaqES4uryYzqdx2qALwkh6ooj9pqZPXxxRPgBbvtV8AxpOab69U3m_yOAdWr-zjq3RtkOv9TxbvLjYEMrw-jiGYWZ6YAxc2qFTBxn4ke3ry2ThN2L_l40Ch8HffcMV1KgIWNueG2-GUYhmfcd05kxiePd459G1klFKuD30k2IjQN7J8A06FHgrkOIbcdOgcU0urpa1xSSTeYfuMEuAIQ8WCq2R9qouN63y79g1tpp55T7P-CUQPapmWZKhN4CXtn7cRjc9KJH9fZHykrB0SQPPUKmvMQvMzfN8kLUsRfLINnlIVySi9wiD_PgVDoeK_DhwUrnFDJagqgoyZjji9XBZoepRccTt8R12w_upBMJcacdPBAo9Ii38FEWTXf860Uj2KTO0K9bPPJpdkKc2_KhgNLRNqNWVO5QBiyn4JxGei4TCEoUiVs4l (redirect from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yheseojdgzi)). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file. Video links are also strongly deprecated by our guidelines for external links, partly because they're useless to people with slow internet connections.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 13:41, 16 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Ratnasri_Wickramanayake3_0.jpg edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Ratnasri_Wickramanayake3_0.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MBisanz talk 23:24, 10 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

October 2009 edit

Your recent addition to Rukmani Devi has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Moonriddengirl (talk) 18:24, 5 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Mitsubishi Jeep edit

Hello Lanka007, I have been following your efforts to include some content on the Mitsubishi Jeep. I created a new section for it at Jeep CJ#Mitsubishi Jeep, and will expand the content. Perhaps it will get its own page some day, perhaps not, but at least the content won't be getting deleted any longer.  ⊂| Mr.choppers |⊃  (talk) 23:30, 4 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Lanka007. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
