Triago

edit

Hi - I noticed your numerous edits to various articles inserting Triago everywehere, moving it up in lists, etc. This borders on WP:SPAM. You can add references to your firm where appropriate but your edits are going to be reversed on a wholesale basis if your attempts at spam continue. |► ϋrбanяeneωaℓTALK ◄| 15:39, 3 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • Also - I noted that there is a significant lack of context or references in your article on Triago. I think it is potentially going to be able to establish its notability but the article has not yet done so. Let me know if you have questions on what this means|► ϋrбanяeneωaℓTALK ◄| 02:12, 4 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • Your list of "references" is just a lot of articles about other subjects where there is a random quote from someone at Triago about the other subject. The article should be addessing Triago - i.e., its role as an advisor in a deal or its leading position, the volume of capital it has raised, its importances, etc. If there is really nothing like this out there at all then that is a very big red flag that this is not a "notable firm as defined by Wikipedia. I am sure it is a good firm but it must be objectively notable to be included. You will see that many firms are not notable and are eventually removed. I am going to give you a little time to try to gather it but if quotes are all you can come up with I am going to propose that the article be deleted. Also the article should really include more content - I am not sure what a paragraph accomplishes. If there is nothing to say about the firm (i.e. it has no history and no real accomplishments of note) then that is likely another red flag. |► ϋrбanяeneωaℓTALK ◄| 13:01, 21 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • I looked through the edits you made - this is very helpful and although it is still very much a stub, the article is in much better condition than a few weeks back. I have taken off some of the tags although I hope this will not be an invitation to make edits that are not compliant with WP:NPOV. I have made a number of clean up edits and removed some disputable facts regarding Triago being the first placement agent in Europe. See the article's talk page on this issue. Hope you will continue to refine this stub article and think some of the historical context would actually be interesting if you are privvy to this information. Additionally, I would like you to think about maybe other topics where your contribution would be valuable where you will not run into WP:COI issues whether in WikiProject Private Equity or other areas of Wikipedia. |► ϋrбanяeneωaℓTALK ◄| 17:35, 9 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
