Orphaned non-free image (Image:Bearclawcoffee.gif) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Bearclawcoffee.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 06:32, 4 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Bearclaw Coffee edit

Like it or not, Starbucks is much, much bigger than Bearclaw. Big enough that the founding of Starbucks takes on more importance than the founding of Bearclaw, as do its founders. Beaners is a little larger, and so is its article. However, the Beaners article should be smaller. I'll get to that presently. The fact that the Bearclaw article has only been edited by people that have done nothing else raised suspicions that there was a conflict of interest. I'm not alone in thinking that. - Richfife 20:47, 6 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

I cut back the Beaners article. - Richfife 15:09, 7 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for getting back to me. I'm actually not a fan of the Starbucks article either (too close to advertising). I don't believe that the COI tag should be there as the article is, so I took it out, but user:Bearian put it back. I could take it out again, but there's a word for that: Edit war. I already mentioned this issue on the articles talk page, but Bearian didn't reply. Perhaps you can drop them a line on their talk page and see what their thoughts are. - Richfife 01:01, 8 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
I removed the COI2 tag. Bearian 23:49, 9 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image source problem with Image:BC-LOGO.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:BC-LOGO.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 22:03, 14 December 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshellsOtter chirpsHELP) 22:03, 14 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
