Re:Request for advice

So far, you have made very good contributions. You have added a lot and the articles look nice.

References are normally needed only for direct-copies (or very close copies) from other sources and for controvesial statements. If a user feels that a statement is unsourced or a copy, then they will probably just remove it or, hopefully, put a {{fact}} next to it. For example, the text: "Many people do not like to visit Ronse{{fact}}", yeilds "Many people do not like to visit Ronse".

I should also inform you that Wikipedia:Peer Review reviews articles and gives you pointers on how to expand. That may be more helpful than I am because I do not know much about geographic articles (my speciality is films, novels, and people). Cbrown1023 16:33, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

Veurne

Please do not remove content from Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.

Sorry about the Veurne delete. The intention was not vandalism, but simply an attempt to keep the article to what might be of interest to anglophone readers. I thought it would be OK to go ahead since you marked your original addition to the Veurne article as a "minor" edit. This being said, I recognize that my judgment on this is subjective and I should have asked you first (thanks for the lesson and sorry again). Just one more thing: You may want to remove the list of 11 deelgemeentes, either in your section (where they are already listed twice) or at the top of the article to avoid duplication. Country specific Google searches

Hi, on Talk:Bruges#Bruges/ Brugge you showed search results for pages located in specific countries. How do you do that? Would be interesting for the Brussels municipalities survey. Markussep 18:06, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

In the Canadian version of Google (www.google.ca), there is a link just to the right of the search input box entitled Language Tools - it's pretty self-explanatory. I am not sure at how accurate this tool is, but it would probably be helpful for some of the cases under discussion. Thanks by the way for setting up the survey and for posting the individual notices on some of those municipalities' talk pages; I would probably have missed this debate otherwise.
