re: LSG1-Bot edit

Hi there :). Global flag is generally only given to bots which are all ready approved on a lot of different wikis. And if this bot is currently only active on the German Wikipedia, then I would suggest not requesting a global flag. You can read more about the global flag at meta:Bot policy#Global bots. However, the global flag is not required for the bt to run here on en.wikipedia, so long as the bot has been locally approved. Do you actually want the bot to edit here on the English Wikipedia? If so, could you let me know what you plan to have it do here, and let me know so I can help you further. Also, you need to read and understand this page, this is a requirement. If you need any help, feel free to ask me. Best, - Kingpin13 (talk) 17:17, 15 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, but this is a bad time for me, as I have to go and eat. If you are reviewing every single edit, then approval isn't required, but you need to be sure to check every edit carefully. If you would prefer approval (which comes with a bot flag). Then follow the instructions at instructions for bot operators. By the way, are you using py interwiki? If so, then I can likely approve the request very quickly. If you need more help then just wait; I should be back in about 30-45 minutes. Best, - Kingpin13 (talk) 17:31, 15 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yes, that's great, I've replied on the BRfA page, here. Cheers - Kingpin13 (talk) 18:00, 15 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Just letting you know that I've speedily approved the bot. I will request a bot flag, and for the bot to be unblocked. Once the bot flag is granted, it will show up here (there will be text which looks like "(bot)" after the user name). Please make sure that you update your pywikipedia version as often as possible. Also, could you place the text "{{bot|LSG1}}" on the bot's userpage. Best, - Kingpin13 (talk) 19:07, 15 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

My pleasure. Looks like the bot has just been unblocked and flagged, so feel free to run it. But don't forget to create it's userpage :) - Kingpin13 (talk) 19:14, 15 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
As Betacommand said on my talkpage, you need to also make sure that the userpage explains what the bot does/when (alternatively you can just link to the Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/LSG1-Bot page). Thanks - Kingpin13 (talk) 19:22, 15 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
