Recent additions edit

Hello LRageandlove. I am 1ForTheMoney and I've watched the RuneScape article for several years. I'm always looking out for people with an interest in working to improve the article.

You recently made several additions concerning alternate game modes. While they are certainly informative, I had to rewrite them to better fit the language used in the rest of the article, and get rid of some content which was unsourced or went into too much detail. Please keep in mind that people reading this article don't necessarily play RuneScape or its separate incarnations, and we're not here to tell them how to play the game.

There are far too few sources being used, and Wikia CANNOT be used as a source - because its content can be freely edited, it can't be considered reliable. Since the official Game Guide is no longer maintained, it may be necessary to stick with fansites that have a reputation for quality when sourcing statements.

You also added this image, which I don't feel is very useful to the article - it's just a login screen. You've also claimed it's freely-licensed, but it's probably copyrighted by Jagex and doesn't belong on Commons.

One last point: never use the word "you" in an article - this would assume the reader actually plays the game (they probably don't). Write in the third person, using terms like "Players can do X".

Don't let this put you off - treat it as a learning experience. Please feel free to discuss this further on Talk:RuneScape which many individuals keep an eye on. 1ForTheMoney (talk) 19:35, 27 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
