LEACHIE
Hi there. I've noticed you've been making some changes to the British Army enlisted rank insignia page. There are a couple of points I'd make. Firstly, it's important on this particular page to keep the colspans of the table aligned with the Nato Armies Blank template, otherwise the column titles and the main NATO page get out of alignment. Secondly, the various changes you've made are strictly incorrect: Regimental Sergeant Major, for example, is an _appointment_, not a _rank_. An RSM has a _rank_ of WO1, as per the original page and the original template. I hope you don't mind me pointing this out. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia! Template:British Isles
editPlease stop, you're changing links to historic countries to current ones / islands and changing to wrong flags. /wangi 12:03, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
- Hi LEACHIE, maybe it might help if you could explain your edits on the talk page - from just looking through the edits (which don't come with an edit comment), it just looks bizarre. --sony-youthpléigh 12:11, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
1st Heworth Scout Troop moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, 1st Heworth Scout Troop, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. — InsertCleverPhraseHere 10:53, 20 July 2017 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of 1st Heworth Scout Troop
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on 1st Heworth Scout Troop requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, society, or group, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. — InsertCleverPhraseHere 11:01, 20 July 2017 (UTC)
- Articles require multiple reliable and independent sources to demonstrate notability. While I can't find such sources online for this topic, there may be other sources offline that can be added to provide notability. Or perhaps not. But it is not ready for an article yet. I'd suggest working on the draft that I have created for you above. — InsertCleverPhraseHere 11:03, 20 July 2017 (UTC)
