I don't understand why knowledge of existing artists is considered spam!? There's ton's of artist bio's on Wikipedia! For example, Flying Lotus, RJD2, or Deadmau5. They all have their own pages, so I do not understand why newer lesser known artists cannot be included on wikipedia? I have read all the rules on wikipedia pertaining to an unbiased account of infromation so before you delete this, I would just like an explanation as to

1) Why are you deleting it? 2) How can I write an article about new artists that will not be flagged for deletion

This is just a userpage bio meant to inform people on the reason behind my articles or edits. Below this flagged article i will include an example of an entry I mean to submit. Maybe this will clarify. I hope that we can come to an agreement because I do not think it is fair that my contributions be flagged as spam because they are clearly not. They are accurate accounts of relatively unknown artists.

I am very confused. First of all, this is not a magazine. Secondly, its not a group or any company. I used "we" because I thought it would make my point clearer. I merely mean to inform about bands that are of interest to me and many others for that matter. Did you see any example of my entry on Sahy Uhns? That is the kind of stuff I want to do. I just put the stuff on the userpage so that I might get a little more leniancey from seasoned editors and administrators when it came to deleting my articles. I don't care about promoting LA Beat Scene. It doesn't even exist! There's no such thing. I merely put that as a means to write and edit articles on artists. Again, please let me know about the little entry about Sahy Uhns because those are the kind of entries I plan on writing. Would it help if i included links to where I get my information from? These artists are not unknown, they just don't have a wikipedia page yet. Where is the line that one needs to cross that an article stops being spam and starts becoming informative? Do they need a certain number of followers to legitimate them? I do not mean to come off as offensive, this whole process is just very baffling. Again, I hope that we can come to some sort of agreement.

Just from I have seen from your userpage and this discussion I will try and make the points I can here instead of just linking. You are close to the subjects you are trying to write on, which this in itself is not against policies, however it does pose some issues. Wikipedia policy does not allow Original research, this means you need reliable sources from published secondary sources. The article is not allowed to make any assumptions or read between the lines. Wikipedia for intensive purposes is not to bring unknown or little known facts to light, only collect facts already published somewhere in reputable papers, books or websites. All these sources then must be then referenced with the information they brought to the article. For example the page in you userspace for Sahy Uhns has 2 external links which only name him, but none include the information you have placed in the article, therefore the article must be assumed to be original research. If you cannot find any reliable sources on him, this is enough for admins and fellow editors, to establish he does meet the notability requirements of Wikipedia.
