mysterious closure of the Bush Crimes Commission AfD

edit

Given the AfD vote stacking mounted precisely because of the Bush Crimes Commission's obvious noteworthiness, it was especially disconcerting to find a nearly void talk page for the administrator who closed the article's AfD. Regardless of the justifications that you and the growing legions of deletionists (who seem to be undermining and gaming the AfD process) might put forward, the article was of far greater significance as a barometer of both the important issues of the day and as an indicator of a historical turning point (i.e., the collapse of popularity and perhaps impending demise of the Bush Administration), than the majority of other Wiki articles, e.g., matters ranging from obscure athletes and romance novelists to xbox game characters and embroidery implements. Having seen all too much gaming of the system, the need to update AfD closure guidelines and revise the coaching methods for administrators who delete articles, especially in the manner that you have chosen, is becoming critical. So far so good. Thanks!

Barricka

edit

I have no idea what the hell Barricka is all about. I added the speedy delete tag initially. I see you've been fighting Ciaralove's (talk) continued removal of the tag. Thanks! I blocked that user for continued vandalism (nonsense, removing the tags) for 24 hours. That page should quieten down now. --Yamla 03:26, 19 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Wondering

edit

I was just woundering why you replaced a bunch of my speedy tags Betacommand 04:05, 19 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

you shouldn't replace the tags that another user adds without good reason trying out a new template isn't a good reason, instead of messing with already taged pages you might try watching the newpages and taging those pages that meet the speedy requriement with your new template Betacommand 04:14, 19 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hello I got your message and there is alot to learn. This is better than a message board. Hopefully I will get the hang of it and become a good editor. I was wondering how many people are on this site that are authors? Well see you later. John R G 04:07, 19 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the help, but I actually have a bot that scans the Special:Ipblocklist and does the tagging now. — Apr. 20, '06 [10:41] <freakofnurxture|talk>

Hello 2 U

edit

I originally signed up to edit the page on the Gospel of Thomas, but felt it rude of me to do so without further research. My research being complete, I'm ready to "Get Involved." Though this article is my main concern till it is "cleaned-up," I will certainly be doing some janitorial work as I research my next topic of contribution. But I thought I'd start slow by simply picking things I feel violate the neutral content policy of Wikipedia. This is by far the greatest educational resource I have ever seen and I would like to help keep it this way. Thanks for the welcome, though I'm sure it's just a formality.

Thanks for the resource, TJ Howard aka Thomas Judas

WP:CVU status

edit

The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you!
