Silicon Valley

edit

Please note that your biography of Judy Estrin has been removed from the article Silicon Valley, as it is not directly relevant to that article. See Notability, Notability (academics) and Biography of living persons for information that may assist you in determining if Estrin qualifies for a separate, biographical article. Please stop adding this information at Silicon Valley. As previously explained, it is irrelevant to the topic of that article. General Ization Talk 18:41, 28 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
Fully concur with above. If you continue to add off-topic content to Wikipedia articles in violation of Wikipedia policies and guidelines, your editing privileges may be suspended. Please review Wikipedia policies and guidelines before making any further edits. --Coolcaesar (talk) 04:24, 29 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
  • Hi! I wanted to step in and give you an explanation as to why this happened. The reason for this is that while the information is certainly interesting, it doesn't really belong in an article that is specifically about Silicon Valley. A better option would be to review the article on the history of the Internet and see how you can add information about her to the article. Remember though, that the addition has to flow with the rest of the article and you have to justify why you're singling her out from the rest of the group, as the Stanford group is only mentioned briefly and no one person is really highlighted. It would likely be better to post to the talk page and start a discussion on how to expand on the contributions of the group as a whole and only briefly mention Estrin in passing. The best place for the type of in-depth detail you added is in her article, because the Internet history article should only contain info about her as it pertains to her work with the Stanford group. Also, please do not replace content if it's removed - this can be seen as edit warring and can lead to a block if it continues past 3 reversions. If your content is removed the best option is to open a discussion on the article's talk page or to contact the person who removed the content.
