July 2013 edit

Hello Kyle. Regarding your edit to David Moore I was wondering your source on him representing the Missouri 12th district. In my research creating the article I never came across anything indicating the exact district number, just that he served a 4-year term. I'm assuming it was a northeast Missouri district that included the Canton area -- Lewis, Clark, Scotland Counties and such -- but nothing to confirm. If you could provide the source of your info it would be much appreciated. Thanks! Sector001 (talk) 12:22, 20 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Nevermind. I did another search, found a source, and inserted into the article. Thx for adding itn in the first place. Sector001 (talk)

Re: Photos - A photo of his headstone, one that you yourself took (Wikipedia is sort of draconian and retentive on photo copyrights lol), would be a wonderful addition to the article. You could upload it either directly here on Wikipedia (click on "Toolbox" over on the <-- left, then "uploda file") or to "Wikimedia Commons". Also if you have any photos that were published prior to 1925 those are considered 'public domain' and can be used too without as much hassle and hoops to jump through.

Moore was certainly an interesting cat. I'm a n.e. Mo. native and so have long been interested in its civil war history. Stumbled across the public domain pic of him, saw he didn't yet have an article, and went from there. Amazing guy, losing a lower leg at Shiloh and still carrying on his command 3 mos later! Must've been tough for him facing off against his own sons at Athens too. Do you per chance have any pics of the Athens battlefield? Those would be nice additions to its article. Thanks again for your help. Sector001 (talk) 13:05, 20 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
