Sunday edit

I look forward to meeting you on Sunday. Have a look at User talk:Mdennis (WMF)#Telling new users what Wikipedia isn't, I would like your views. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 01:13, 1 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi, be careful of stray characters edit

You accidentally inserted your signature into another user signature in this diff. Hope you don't mind that I fixed it for you. PaleAqua (talk) 14:35, 1 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for noticing and fixing that. I'm just getting used to using a mobile device with my fat fingers. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 15:01, 1 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
I finally got a wireless keyboard to use with my iPad. It's made editing WP a lot simpler. I can't manage to type anything at all on the microscopic virtual keyboard on my phone, which is apparently made to be used by those teenage girls who never put their phones down. I've got an iPAd now with a Bluetooth keybord, but my smartphone really is a fiddly thing. My PowerBook just died on me after doing a reommended irmware install, and Apple want over $600 to repair it... Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 12:03, 4 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Oxford Meetup 4 edit

Thank you for attending the third Oxford Meetup, and it was a pleasure meeting you. We hope to keep this as a regular event, every two months, on the first Sunday of the month (in order not to clash with London [second Sunday]). A page has been created about the fourth Oxford Meetup; please sign up if you think that you are able to attend - if the date or venue are unsuitable, please comment at its discussion page.

Please spread the word to anybody else who you think might be interested. The next UK meetup is London, 10 March 2013. --Redrose64 (talk) 14:53, 4 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

By the way... edit

Starship9000 asked you to elaborate on his block, just in case you didn't see it. (Not that it particularly requires further comment; he just doesn't get it.) Writ Keeper 15:31, 4 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry, no one is that clueless. I'm now convinced he's a troll. Beyond My Ken (talk) 21:15, 4 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
I don't know about him being a troll; I think he's just very clueless. Go Phightins! 21:26, 4 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
As I mentioned to you some days ago, I was on the fence about it. His current comments on his talk page nailed it for me. H;'es been having us on, I'm afraid. Beyond My Ken (talk) 22:02, 4 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
I dunno, his comment makes sense if he didn't read or understand the ANI thread. Ryan Vesey had mentioned an enforced Wikibreak (through either the Javascript enforcer or a real block), so interpreting the block as such isn't totally wacky, especially if he didn't realize people were discussing and decided on a block-for-reals. I think he might just be in the la-la land of utter self-absorption, where you're right because you're you; how could you be wrong? We all went through that phase; he might just need time to grow out of it. It's a moot point, really; whether it's trollishness or the plain folly of youth, we'll see if he grows out of it in a year. Writ Keeper 22:42, 4 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
You may be right - it's all just a little too Candide-ish for me to swallow. Beyond My Ken (talk) 00:43, 5 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hagley Hall edit

This is a heads up. I saw from the history that you protected the Hagley Hall article. FYI the "person" has changed the page (again) since the protection was taken off. I have reverted the change with an explanation. BTW I am not sure is the address in the info box is needed, I for one would remove it, but I don't have strong enough opinion on its inclusion to do so. -- PBS (talk) 12:49, 5 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

French-to-English translation of a few articles edit

Hi, Kudpung. I looked at the Translators Available list and saw your name on the list on the French-to-English translators. I was wondering if you could like to translate the following articles based on text translated from their counterparts in the French Wikipedia since the French versions of the articles have more coverage than the English versions? Grand Paris; Grand Palais; Gare du Nord; and Paris-Gare de Lyon. Thanks. Jim856796 (talk) 15:14, 11 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi, thanks for asking but if you check out the notice at the top of this page you'll see that I'm currently a bit strapped for time fordong major. but non urgent translations. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 09:57, 13 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (File:South Bromsgrove.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading File:South Bromsgrove.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:08, 16 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

There's been a bunch of juvenile vandalism on the article in the past couple of days, and your image was replaced by a picture of a cactus. I've restored to the last good version (yours), and requested temporary semi-protection. Beyond My Ken (talk) 04:20, 16 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your help, please edit

Kudpung, you're impartial and a good guy, and I need some help. I got two editors acting like jerks to each other and being a time-sink. I would like for you to have a look and see if they continue baiting each other after I admonished both of them to stop: Ihardlythinkso (talk · contribs) and OGBranniff (talk · contribs). There's a bit of a backstory deriving from an ANI thread: OG made some shitty comments and I asked him to stop, or I'd block; OG promised to stop but in the meantime is claiming, with some justification, that Ihardly is baiting him. I asked both to stay away from each other, and that was only yesterday. The continuation of the saga is on my talk page, "V. R. Parton edit", and I am hoping that you can have a look to see if there's anything blockable reported from either one given that they were both warned to cut the crap (as a younger person might say). I am not looking for any of them to get blocked, but this is sort of trying my patience and I may be quicker on the draw than I should be. Thank you so much in advance--if you can't or don't want to do it, I understand perfectly; just say so and I'll find someone else. Have a great weekend, Drmies (talk) 16:33, 16 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Need Help! edit

Hello Kudpung, this is Survir, long-time no conversation. I recently decided to come back to Wikipedia after I was gone for a while. I notice the following pages listed below are being vandalized very often, especially by unknown IP users.

1. List of programs broadcast by Star Plus 2. List of programs broadcast by Zee TV 3. List of programs broadcast by Colors

Is there any way to get page protection on these pages, so unknown IP users are not able to make any edits. Also, many of the programmes were removed from the list of shows aired on these channels. I reviewed the entire pages and restored content, which took me awhile. Carefully reviewed every single edit made on these pages, many people added unnecessary/useless info and destroyed page format. Can you please provide assistance? Thank you. Your Wiki friend, Survir (talk) 01:42, 27 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
