Speedy deletion of "O’Connor" edit

A page you created, O’Connor, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a band or other musical group, but it does not indicate how they are important or significant, and thus why they should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for musical groups in particular.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Removing Speedy at O’Connor edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for taking the time to contribute.

I'm a bot designed by another Wikipedia editor, and I'm here to help you with our deletion process. I noticed that while working on an article recently, you removed a speedy deletion template that tagged it for deletion. Don't get discouraged! Deletion discussions happen on Wikipedia all the time.

If you don't want the article to get deleted, please click here.

The link will take you to the talk page, where you can explain why the article should be kept. If you have any questions about this or need help with editing, you can ask at the Help desk.

We really hope you'll stick around to help make Wikipedia better! Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 17:02, 31 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

O'Connor edit

You have some assertions on the talk page that keep me from immediately speedying the article, but this article is nowhere near ready. Can you provide credible third-party reliable sources that verify that the band has had major label releases, significant radio rotation, etc.? Seraphimblade Talk to me 22:28, 1 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hello Seraphimblade I added links to some newpapers and even major radio networks. These sources are realiable and independent to the band. I hope that now the article looks complete. I'm completely new here but in the last few days I learned many interesting things about Wikipedia and how it works and it is amazing. I hope I got the point now.

Open question Sandbox vs Preview edit

This help request has been answered. If you need more help, please place a new {{help me}} request on this page followed by your questions, or contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page.

I often use the preview button to test if a format I want to set works or not... Usually it takes some previews before the text looks fine. Is it right to do so? And if so, then what is the sandbox for? I have read the help about Sandbox but I don't get the difference between it and the preview.
Open question for any kind user to reply :-D Wiki markup is great! It's easier than HTML! Ktulu789 Talk with me 05:20, 3 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Yes. It's good to preview your edits to make sure your edit is as you intended, though it's not required. Your own sandbox is just a page you can use to work on and test / experiment with various things—whether it's a draft of a new article you are working on or a complex template that doesn't work when you preview your changes. Hope that helps. wctaiwan (talk) 16:25, 3 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
You can use the preview button as many times as you'd like. Some people prefer using this; others prefer to save the page in a sandbox. You can use whichever you prefer. However, you should keep in mind that if you preview a page, your changes are not saved anywhere. If you were to accidentally close the browser window, your work would be lost.
Some people also like to use sandboxes for longterm projects. For example, I've drafted entire articles in the sandbox, a process that sometimes takes me many days. This is better-suited to sandbox editing than previewing, as my work would not be saved anywhere in a preview, and session data might be lost. GorillaWarfare (talk) 16:26, 3 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
Both answers are right, Thanks. I will keep both! This surely helped me. I'm amazed at the speed that the help me thing worked! Wow! Thanks again for your kind response! I thought the sandbox get's automatically cleaned sometimes... I will check that on the help again! Ktulu789 Talk with me 16:42, 3 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
The public sandbox at Wikipedia:Sandbox is constantly being purged—you should not use that one for anything other than test edits you don't need to keep. However, the one you get by clicking on "My Sandbox" (near the top right hand corner) and the ones you create yourself (e.g. you can go ahead and create User:Ktulu789/sandbox_2 if you need two places to work on different things) would not be cleared unless you do so yourself. wctaiwan (talk) 16:48, 3 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
Ok, now I understand. Thanks a bunch WCTaiwan! You are a great helper!! 非常感谢,再见!(I learnt some mandarin. I love it! I hope you undestand it :-D Are you from Taiwan? Great, then you don't have a Great Firewall in between!)Ktulu789 Talk with me 03:47, 5 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

¿Te gustaría revisarlos, corregirlos, agregar o quitar info? Si lo deseas, no problem. Saludos y aguante la buena música. Sebastian --S3b4s5 (talk) 08:12, 28 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
