@MapleSoy: Hello, thank you very much for the constructive comments! This article is not an autobiography. I am a postgraduate student at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, NTUA, and I happen to know Professor Nikita's research work and academic contribution in the fields of antennas, biolectromagnetics, and biomedical informatics. When searching information regarding her research, I noticed that there was no wikipedia article providing information on her research achievements. That is why I decided to start writing this article. I have made several modifications and added in-line citations as proposed. Thanks again for all your efforts and comments for improving the article! Ksnikita (talk) 17:17, 23 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your submission at Articles for creation: IEEE Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation (January 28)

Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Randykitty was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: None of the sources provided is independent of the journal (some don't even mention it). Hence this obviously fails WP:GNG. As remarked in a previous round, this also fails WP:NJournals. Article creation is clearly premature.
Randykitty (talk) 15:35, 28 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Randykitty: Hello, thank you very much for the constructive comments! The journal was recently indexed by the Directory of Open Access Journals, which is an independent database that indexes and provides access to high quality, open access, peer-reviewed journals. This information has been included in the article. Although the journal was launched one year ago by the IEEE, it has developed significantly in terms of content and impact (more than 80 published articles, more than 45,000 article views and downloads). Could you please provide any advice on improving this article? Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ksnikita (talkcontribs)

  • DOAJ is not a particularly selective database: they accept all legitimate OA journals (i.e., they only exclude fake "predatory" journals), so that doesn't count towards notability. At this point, this journal does not meet either WP:NJournals or WP:GNG (very few journals meet the latter), so article creation is not possible. The journal is still very young, so at this point we don't even know whether it's going to survive. My advice is to wait a few years until the journal is included in Scopus or the Science Citation Index Expanded and notability (and survival) is clearly established. --Randykitty (talk) 17:39, 4 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
