Subcats edit

Hello Thank you so much for your note. I disagree with the guideline as written, but it's clearly written that way. Deliberately putting an article in a redundant category is almost always a bad idea, and I think this is an example of such a bad idea. For the most part, I have only deleted "American businesspeople" from articles that also have "African American businesspeople," but this is not universal. Thanks again for alerting me to this. -Justin (koavf)TCM☯ 07:44, 13 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Your rollback request edit

Hi! I regret that I must inform you that your request for the rollback permission has been denied. You can discover why by checking the archives at Wikipedia:Requests for rollback/Denied/May 2008#krushdiva. RFRBot (talk) 18:00, 16 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Okay, I'm willing to give this a go, as you seem to understand the policy. :) Please visit WP:New admin school/Rollback to practice, and fully read WP:Rollback (which I hope you already have done). Best wishes, PeterSymonds (talk) 19:21, 19 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Oh, and the reason you didn't get a response to your comments following my first decline was because you were commenting in the archive. Once a request has the {{done}} or {{not done}} under it, it gets archived to a subpage. No-one checks there again lol. Sorry if it seemed rude, but I only noticed it when I checked why I declined your first request! :D Best, good luck with the tool, and give us a shout if you need assistance. Cheers, PeterSymonds (talk) 19:58, 19 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
No probs. :) Basically you can come to my talk page about anything even if you think it might not be appropriate. I'm always happy to lend a hand if it's needed (or two sometimes!). Best, PeterSymonds (talk) 20:07, 19 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Celine (brand) edit

A tag has been placed on Celine (brand) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Ziggy Sawdust 19:55, 16 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Katarzyna Dolinska edit

An editor has nominated Katarzyna Dolinska, an article which you have created or worked on, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Katarzyna Dolinska and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. ... MistyWillows talk 18:45, 9 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
