Couple of things edit

  1. Why the hell did you clear the copyedit section of the {{comicsproj}} template a while back, when the articles had not been copyedited (JLA/Avengers has been semi-cleaned up since I went overboard with the cleanup templates on it after I noticed that - although every one was true - but there are still a few issues). Defeats the purpose, no?
  2. Did you propose {{Image-Comics-stub}} on WP:WSS/P, as new stub templates are required to be? I don't see any sign of it. - SoM 00:47, 18 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Image:Securarots.jpg has been listed as a possible copyright violation edit

An image that you uploaded, Image:Securarots.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Copyright problems because it is a suspected copyright violation. Please look there if you know that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), and then provide the necessary information. Thank you.

3d ACR vs. 3rd ACR edit

I noticed you moved 3d Armored Cavalry Regiment to 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment. Did you do any research before making such a move? Go the the regiment's home page, and see what convention they follow. Look at p. 51 of the regimental history and check out the section at the top ("Regimental Abbreviation").

As an apparent Star Wars fan, would you move Lightsaber to Lightsabre because its namesake is the Sabre? I suspect not, but even if you're tempted to do so, the move you made to the 3d ACR was ill-advised. Would you please undo the damage? Direct any follow-up to Talk:3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment. Thank you. 66.167.252.252 10:15, 26 October 2005 (UTC).Reply

Cortosis edit

Perhaps I'm forgetting some key part of EPIII, but I don't remember Cortosis being mentioned in EPIII. However, you mention it in that article, "It is later mentioned in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith." Mrmcgibby 16:34, 5 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Featured article for December 25th edit

I noticed you have listed yourself in Category:Atheist Wikipedians. That said, you will probably be interested in my suggested featured article for December 25th: Omnipotence paradox. The other suggestion being supported by others for that date is Christmas, although Raul654 has historically been against featuring articles on the same day as their anniversary/holiday. — BRIAN0918 • 2005-11-28 08:22

Stargate Jaffa change edit

Hi! You deleted a bunch of what looked like relevant links in Jaffa (Stargate). It seems to me that the links could likely be trimmed a tad, but a full on purge is not warranted. You didn't put a comment for the change, so if you could let me know what the reasoning was, I'd sure appreciate it. RandyKaelber 01:34, 6 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Stargate Links edit

While searching on wikipedia, I found the stargate pages all jumbled around. I added the links to try and better organize the stargate section. There are still pages all over the place which can only be found through obscure links. You are not the only one who has commented over this. The other person said that the links I put were not directly related to the specific topic, therefore I should not put them. Do you have a diffrent reason?

If you want to erase the edits you can, but do understand that I was just trying to organize and might have overdone it. I did it on all pages which I linked to, all pages on the tech template, and all pages on the Aliens template.

Deletion of Coverism edit

Just because coverism has no Hits on Google doesnt mean that it doesnt exist. Google isnt the be all and end all. If it isnt on google it doesnt exist, what a silly logic! I searched for Aeroplane Hills, (a crash site in the Blue Mountains from world war 2) not there on google, oh dear they musn't exist then!

Re: Uh... (CAD Pictures) edit

Then what should I make it? {{comiccover}}? I couldn't find anything that it would be appropriate under, but as it could have been taken from a comic book panel (with a background), I thought that {{comicpanel}} would be okay. So many of the pictures under Category:Comics_single_panels are similar to this, so I don't see a problem. --R6MaY89 04:08, 31 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Blur edit

This user (Kross) leaves blurs from the standpoint of the premier worldwide group of the color-blind. I expect Kross will beg off and insist the "Ninja" link is not his fault, but I can see Ninja on the left and a blur on the right. The little insert or post-it or whatever needs more brightness contrast, a different color, or much larger lettering in the rightmost blur. Anyway, congratulations on the new link on Gas Giants, and some day I will look up what a Ninja is.Carrionluggage

Sorry- I did not mean to offend. The 20th item on the right side of your User page says Ninja "This user is a ????" where "????" refers to a colorful blur (so far as color-blind people like me go). I don't know if this little panel is user-editable but if so you might want to change the color scheme - e.g. by making the lettering on the right lighter - maybe even white. Oooh, I just found it changes color when I run the mouse over it with the button down and it says: "ninja." Also 3 up from there the "BSG" has the same problem, but I just made it visible with the mouse and now I see the words "Battleship Galactica."Carrionluggage 11:31, 15 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Jimbo's Wishes edit

I see that you are stating that you are a social democrat. Given that these type of statements are polarizing, I would suggest removing it. You may have heard of Jimbo's wishes.144.126.161.43 15:02, 14 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

It is this sort of threat and self-censorship that is the most worrying outcome of the userbox wars. --maru (talk) contribs 04:34, 14 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
It was not a threat. It was a suggestion and what is the point of userboxes? It makes people look like they have an agenda when they start giving ones that provide opinions. You would also notice I only saw one that I found to be polarizing. I didn't tell him to remove all of them.144.126.161.43 15:02, 14 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
And by the way, please check User Talk: 144.126.161.43 to view his abusive language.144.126.161.43 15:20, 14 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
It was a threat. Stop bullshitting us. It would be a shame if your house were to burn down and your kneecaps be broken in an "accident", wouldn't it? --maru (talk) contribs 18:19, 14 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
Please tell me where you view this as being a threat. Quite frankly I feel that the message had no tone to it. I do realize that there are different interpretations, especially on the Internet where we do not have the ability to associate a voice to words.
What exactly is it though that I am "threatening"? I am simply giving an opinion. I find one userbox out to be a polarizing one and telling him that I think he should delete it.
And what's with you wishing harm on me and with the language? I have been civil in this matter whether you agree or disagree with me and have confronted opinions, not people unlike you guys. Do you guys feel that your arguments are too weak? I have also not resorted to foul language either. --144.126.76.73 02:14, 15 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
What are you talking about? I haven't threatened you at all- exactly like you didn't threaten to report Kross to Jimbo. --maru (talk) contribs 04:17, 15 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
I never said you did threaten me at all. There's a difference between wishing harm and threatening someone. I also never threatened to report Kross to Jimbo just like you said. From your post, I figured you were trying to get a bit of sarcasm in saying that I actually was threatening that.144.126.161.45 13:27, 15 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Zoids... mobilise! edit

Kross, I'm giving the green light to the Zoids wikiproject. You expressed interest in supporting this wikiproject, either at the temporary project page set up in my userspace, or at the entry in the "List of proposed Wikiprojects".

I am now informing you that the project page has been moved to Wikipedia:WikiProject Zoids, and would like you to have a look at it sometime in the next few days. While you're there, please make a note on the talk page of the kind of work you feel you would be best at performing.

Thanks in advance for your effort! -- Saberwyn - The Zoids Expansion Project 22:05, 16 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

As an aside edit

I've noticed that you have edited a number of Zoids articles by removing the "Overview" heading, and effectively slapping that entire section into the introduction. I think I see where you're coming from (but if you're not coming from "These articles need a bigger introduction" I'm completely lost), but there has got to be a better way to do so. Hopefully we can both come to the table and work out a way to expand on the introductory 'paragraph', while leaving the description of the Zoid and its role right where it is. -- Saberwyn - The Zoids Expansion Project 22:18, 16 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Request for edit summary edit

Hi. I am a bot, and I am writing to you with a request. I would like to ask you, if possible, to use edit summaries a bit more often when you contribute. The reason an edit summary is important is because it allows your fellow contributors to understand what you changed; you can think of it as the "Subject:" line in an email. For your information, your current edit summary usage is 40% for major edits and 7% for minor edits. (Based on the last 150 major and 150 minor edits in the article namespace.)

This is just a suggestion, and I hope that I did not appear impolite. You do not need to reply to this message, but if you would like to give me feedback, you can do so at the feedback page. Thank you, and happy edits, Mathbot 18:31, 1 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Reply to "uh..." edit

Dont go accusing me of things, the only times i've directly copied anything was from another information collection site, international hero, where i've helped contribute information to the articles I took from before I learned of wikipedia, the site also being similiar to wikipedia in that it gathers info from other sources. Aside from that their was one mistake where I actually did break a copyright in directly quoting a paragraph from a new site, but an admin called me on it and I redid the whole page. all the I.H. stuff I used was also altered before it went up on wikipedia, so watch the accusations your making there, understood? Midusunknown 11:03, 5 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

I think your missing the point mate, first off, if anyone held copyrights there it was AolTimeWarner owning the characters. However, if in some rare way copyright actually went to a basic factual compilement of information that was in no way created where it could be the websites exclusive rights, in that rare event, it would belong to me and loki (the site owner) who helped create the sections...I could not violate copyrights that I would own in such an event, thusly there was no violation in me reusing something I already wrote that I just happened to write on another site. Your on wikipedia, look up copyright violations yourself. Now if you'll excuse me from this foolish topic, I'd like to actually get back to contributing useful information rather than letting you continue your attempt at playing out admin through slanderous accusations.Midusunknown 23:43, 5 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
"Only public domain resources can be copied without permission—this does not include most web pages." Bottom of every edit page.--KrossTalk 00:07, 6 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
At any rate it was only done a few times with items I originally took part in writing. in all cases they've been since changed enough it doesnt matter, and finally im out of sections I contributed to so it wont be able to happen again. I'd say that covers all ends and were done with the topic, non? Thank you for your concern. Midusunknown 12:39, 6 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Merging edit

Hi Kross, nice work on merging the Holy Terror, Batman articles, but bear in mind that the GFDL requires authors of a work to be indentified, and therefore you must note mergers in the edit summary, noting where information is merged to and from, and that they should not be marked as minor edits. Airlift (military) edit

Could you provide some hard data backing up the following statement? Particularly the part in bold.

Tactical airlift aircraft are highly manoeuvrable allowing low-altitude flight to avoid detection by radar and air-drop supplies. A Hercules has the same speed and rate-of-turn performance as a Second World War Spitfire.

I'm very skeptical of this claim, so a source would be great and quite convincing. Thanks for your help. ericg 18:43, 15 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
