Hello, Kristaalc4, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Adam and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Topics for project

edit

Meghan and I were interested in making/editing a page for one of these women:

1.Anna Burrows (author) 2.Margaret Mann Lesley (geneticist) 3.Pauline Kirby (nurse) 4.Barbara Kegerreis Lunde (aerospace engineer) 5.Jo Gayle Howard (veterinarian/biologist)

Feedback on Possible Topics

edit

Krista and Meghan:

You have four good topics here and it looks like three have no page on wikipedia. I do see a short one on JoGayle Howard --- perhaps you can add more. It seems pretty slim.

My suggestion would be to divide up the possible topics between you and see what secondary sources you can find. Let me know if I can help. All are good topics -- now it's just finding a topic that has good sources you can use. One more thought -- are any of these subjects living? If so, I'd avoid those unless they are well-established and well-along in life (meaning, there will be more material written about them). In general, for this project, I would avoid living subjects.

Is Burrows the woman who wrote the book on Eggs? If so, UNE librarian Roberta Gray can help.

Good start!Edw04005 (talk) 18:08, 16 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
