Rani's page edit

i worked so hard on the page. you can't just revert it all. revise my sentences and improvise them. i made the page more articulate and organized. i'll need more time to make it perfect. but for now don't revert my work back and forth. thanks! you rock!

Paul McCartney / Left or Right Handed edit

Hi Krich

I'm brand new to Wikipedia, but already having a ball!

I was about to tell you off for deleting my contribution in Paul's trivia section (if indeed it was you), however, that is precisely what I was guilty of in the first place! Perhaps I should have started a discussion first? Anyway, shall be seriously researching this subject over the next couple of days thanks to you. Probably learning tons of other stuff on the way! Watching football right now so the Beatles can wait.

Brendan. (This unsigned comment was left by 81.77.35.224 20:56, 15 February 2006 (UTC))Reply

Nope, that wasn't me who deleted the material in the article. I did add some sourcing and verification info on the talk page, I think it pretty much settled the issue for the other editors. It contains a quote from Paul himself answring the question. Thanks, --Krich (talk) 03:57, 1 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Greetings, editor! Your name appears on Wikipedia:List of non-admins with high edit counts. If you have not done so lately, please take a look at that page and check your listing to be sure that following the particulars are correct:

  1. If you are an admin, please remove your name from the list.
  2. If you are currently interested in being considered for adminship, please be sure your name is in bold; if you are opposed to being considered for adminship, please cross out your name (but do not delete it, as it will automatically be re-added in the next page update).
  3. Please check to see if you are in the right category for classification by number of edits.

Trench Warfare edit

I was just in the process of giving that guy a warning when I got an edit conflict & noted you'd already done so - great minds think alike :) Longshot14 17:47, 16 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia! That happens sometimes when reverting vandalism, you often bump up against others also removing the nonsense. I think it's a good think, shows that sometimes our efforts overlap and create a more dense screen against the vandals. Thanks for the help! --Krich (talk) 04:00, 1 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Star Wars Trading Card Game edit

Kirch I don't know if you know this, but Gollum really is the best SWTCG player ever, okay. Have you ever played, do you know anything about the game or it's players? I do, and this is a FACT. (This UNSIGNED comment left by 71.115.57.82 15:11, 23 March 2006 (UTC))Reply

Sorry, upon checking it looks like your edits weren't vandalism. "Best in the world" probably needs some sourcing and/or toning down, but it was mistake to have rolled back your first edits while I was RC Patrolling, and I've left your reverts alone. Good luck --Krich (talk) 19:11, 29 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Vandalism of Latinos edit

I'm sorry but this is a genuine article, and not a matter of vandelism, but of great local heritage. Please refrain from vandelising my carefully written and researched articles. (This unsigned comment was left by 84.67.184.108 18:36, 29 March 2006 (UTC))Reply

Looks like vandalism to me, and to several other editors reverting your nonsense. Please leave the redirect alone. --Krich (talk) 19:06, 29 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Experimenting on the WBRU article edit

May I ask why you think I'm experimenting while I'm adding information regarding their April Fools prank? And why do you keep reverting the page?

Cheers, Nite Nite

Wikipedia articles are not the place to play out a local radio station's April Fool's Day prank. The article was being jerked around mercilessly. I reverted all the vandalism edits I could find, it appears that others editors and admins joined me, and an admin then temporarily protected the page to prevent further vandalism.
The notice on your talk page was a standard, 1st-level warning about spurious edits. Please continue to contribute to Wikipedia, just not in this fashion. Thanks! --Krich (talk) 20:35, 1 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

This "April Fool's Prank" is part of the history of the radio station. If you lived in the area you would understand that until about 5:00pm when all kinds of stuff went down in regards to the station, if wasn't exactly realized to be an April Fool's Prank. If you would read the history and comments you would understand that many people didn't believe this was an April Fool's Prank at all. Listeners called up the radio station crying thinking that the radio station was being taken over by some media conglomerate goons.

The wikipedia updates served as a wonderful history of the past few days about what was going on and whether or not it was real or not. Why you think this is not deemed of a Wikipedia entry for just a few days (it was listed as a current event) until all details are finalized I don't understand.

Please keep your counter vandalism efforts to things you might know a thing about. It is clearly not vandalism, it was very informative (read the discussion page of people thanking people for the updates). The page should at least be reverted back to the timeline before you reverted everything with a few new updates, and in a few days once everyone realizes the scale of the event a proper footnote in the entry can be written. - Ryan (This unsigned comment was left by 24.147.118.244 21:58, 1 April 2006 (UTC))Reply

I'm sorry, Ryan, but that is not the reason Wikipedia exists. This is not a webspace provider, nor a blog or fan site. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and I'm sure you wouldn't expect to see an ongoing listing of events happening during a local radio station's April Fool's Day prank in an encyclopedia article.
If the prank turns out to be notable in the history of the station, a line or two referring to what happened might be appropriate (I honestly doubt such a normal radio prank would be so notable, but assuming that it does become so). But the ongoing listings of songs, reactions to the prank, comments from DJs, etc, are not.
Also, please note that I am not the administrator who protected the page. Not only was the page temporarily protected by a Wikipedia admin, but someone has already requested that the protection be removed, and other admins have declined to do so.
I hope that you stay and enjoy Wikipedia, and continue to contribute to Wikipedia - just please read up a bit on our guidelines and policies. Thanks again, --Krich (talk) 22:10, 1 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Would you kindly never accuse me of vandalism no matter how egotistical you are. I added FACTUL UPDATES on a CURRENT EVENT. That has never and most likey will never be a Wikipedia violation. You were completly out of line by twice telling me to stop vandalizing WBRU. Look up the definition of that word, apparently you haven't the faintest clue what it means. Next time, you should maybe find out what is actually going on before you start throwing out accusations and reverting pages. You should be ashamed of yourself. You give Wikipedia a bad name and you are the reason that Wikipedia is not considered a creditable source. -caf3623

I'm sorry you are upset, caf3623 - it was not my intention, nor I'm sure was it the intention of the other editors and the admin who worked to clean up the mess that was made of the WBRU page yesterday and the night before. The BRU page was being hit so often and so fast with the spurious edits that a Wikipedia administrator (not me) had to temporarily protect the page - that is, temporarily bar anonymous and brand new registered users from editing the page. That is something that we really don't like to do, even for a short time.
I saw that you found the correct page to request that temporary page protection to be lifted, and there yet another administrator explained to you that the edits happening at BRU constituted vandalism, and refused to lift the temp protection - so you should be aware by now that the activity happening at the BRU page were not something allowed here at Wikipedia.
I also understand that you are a very new registered user (within the last day or two) of Wikipedia, and the edits to the BRU page make up almost all of your edits so far. You obviously aren't very familiar with how things work here. Now that you have found us, we'd love for you to stay and participate constructively to the encyclopedia - to help, I'm going to drop a note on your talk page with some links about how to get started here, and some of our basic policies. If you will read through those, and then my comments above and on the WBRU talk page again, I think you will see where things went wrong here.
Thanks, --Krich (talk) 13:46, 2 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, I'm not an administrator, and can't execute a block (although I agree this ip needs another one). I've placed a 4th level warning on his talk page, and I'm watching his edits - if he continues, I'll place a notice on the Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism page - or you can do that too. Thanks, and good luck --Krich (talk) 19:37, 3 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your help anyway! I've just seen the list of your recent contributions and your edit count. I think you would be a good administrator. Ok, I'll be keeping an eye on this person. --Sebesta 19:44, 3 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please, we were just trying to make the outside world more aware of the rather disgusting truth of our hometown. It was just in jest - however, the jest was a truth. (This unsigned comment was left by 206.158.2.80 15:50, 11 April 2006 (UTC))Reply

19:22, 23 April 2006 (UTC)Sorry I didn't know about writing at the bottom. Look my only purpose on wikipedia was to give more information and make indian cinema known here with many articles. i chose to work on rani mukerji's page was only because you guys didn't put much there and i thought whatever you wrote was not good enough. that is why i attempted to write. i told you before i'm not a professional. i respect you people. edit my writing if you may. don't revert my work. i know i need to make it more neutral but u can help me with that. i just collected all the useful information yesterday. i couldn't make everything perfect just in one day. it will take time. you can help. all i want to say is that you cannot cut the length of the page. whatever is on there is true. read the saathiya interview at the bottom where it says press coverage. the whole interview correstponds to the breakout role. i even watched the koffee with karan show where karan johar confirms that saathiya was a milestone in her career and from then onwards she became Yash Chopra's muse working in: hum tum, veer-zaara, bunty aur babli, saif n rani new film. although they first started with mujhse dosti karoge but the film was a flop. thats what i wrote in the breakout role. the film was a flop. so there u go. we have something negative against her. if you see all the award shows on tv, yash chopra and rani sit together all the time. although preity zinta is also another yash chopra film worker, rani is more partial to him. i'll try to neutralize the page. but it's tagged vandalism so im scared to touch it. you should help me. lastly, i wasnt trying to flatter u. simply encourage u to help me. i need u guys! thanks! shez グレン 12:15, 23 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Your Recent Revert edit

You recently reverted a hangon notice. Whether or not these are placed validly, they should not be reverted. Alphachimp talk 23:18, 29 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Actually, I was reverting an incorrect usage - it was originally placed in parentheses, not brackets. However, the editor who inserted the tag fixed it just as I was reverting, so both his tags were acidentally reverted. --Krich (talk) 23:23, 29 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Walt Disney: Known Anti-Semite edit

Please do not hide the truth about Walt Disney. He was not some cuddly old man, he hated Jews, and was a known anti-semite. Not including this in your article makes it biased and witholds the truth about a very evil human being.

Walt Disney really really really hated the Jews. I have my sources —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 80.46.78.232 (talkcontribs).

This is not vandalism, it is balancing a very biased article. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 80.46.78.232 (talkcontribs).

Hi, I dont really know how to use this but..I'm gonna hope this works. Okay, some of the nonsense stuff is not me. I just wanted to say that the things I added to the history section of the Panic! At the Disco page, are entirely true. According to their label, they ARE touring with Jack's Mannequin and Bloc Party this November. According to MTV News and Brent Wilson's brother, Brent IS filing a lawsuit against P!ATD. So please stop deleting that part. You can cite sources or clean it up or whatever, but it is TRUE. As for the nonsense, well that can obviously go. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.38.68.244 (talkcontribs).

Peter Lamborn Wilson / NAMBLA edit

I noticed that you accused the user from 24.80.178.251 of vandalism, saying that he was inserting nonsense into the Peter Lamborn Wilson article. While his edits are debatable and lack a bit of sociability in form, I don't think they're nonsense or vandalism. I think I know who the editor is, and the issue of Hakim Bey's pedophilia looms rather large in his view of the world's problems. So he is POV pushing, to an extent. Nevertheless, the citations he has just provided in the list of PLW's writings on boy-love are real, and I think he has a geniune contribution to make to the article. If it's not out of line for me to say this, I'd suggest you make a retraction on his talk page. Rlitwin 01:36, 22 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
