landscape design edit

I have not been able to find who designed the fountain, the park as a whole, or the landscape design. The articles I have found only mention the artist, who made at least the statue of Termeer, but I'm not sure how much else.

Photos on the artist's website make it look like he possibly also designed the fountain, pool, and seating area but I'm not sure. Krhettn (talk) 05:54, 29 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Glow edit

With commemorative pieces there's a fine line between describing the work and echoing the less neutral, glowing language of the curators. You might tone that down, be sure you're not echoing that language in the 'encyclopedic voice'. The direct quote is a bit long, if you can pull out the central sentence, the rest can go in the citation (cites have a "quote" field). – SJ + 16:21, 29 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Oh I see what you mean! I guess I'm used to writing about art, where the design intention can be important/interesting to know if someone has disclosed it -- but I didn't know it would be weird here, or that I could put it in a citation. I did that and shortened it in the article. I hope it's better? I think you added "Design" too? Thanks. : ) Krhettn (talk) 05:26, 30 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
I will try to keep this in mind for the others too! Krhettn (talk) 05:34, 30 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for pointing it out : ) Krhettn (talk) 05:37, 30 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Public art category? edit

Both the park and the statue should be public art, but it's on a publicly-accessible area inside a privately owned campus. I'm curious what typologies this does and doesn't show up in. For instance, it's a "square" [does that mean someone asked for that name from the city?] but probably not in the official list of Cambridge Squares. I do think this is a good candidate for a stub, you might ping Another Believer to see what they think, when ready. – SJ + 02:09, 23 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
