Obama article probation edit

Thank you for your contributions to the encyclopedia! In case you are not already aware, an article to which you have recently contributed, Talk:Barack Obama, is on article probation. A detailed description of the terms of article probation may be found at Talk:Barack Obama/Article probation. Also note that the terms of some article probations extend to related articles and their associated talk pages.

The above is a templated message. Please accept it as a routine friendly notice, not as a claim that there is any problem with your edits. Thank you. -- Wikidemon (talk) 21:43, 10 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

I am noting that your first four edits here on Wikipedia relate in one way or another to Barack Obama, and in each you are arguing both that Wikipedia should be more disparaging of Obama (a legitimate thing to believe, even if people disagree) but also in some cases that Wikipedia is perpetrating a "fraud",[1] that the editors of the Obama article are perpetrating a "lie"[2] Further, some of the things you are proposing are fringe,(e.g. that Obama's birth certificate is a forgery) not reliably sourced, or contradict the sources you are citing(e.g. that Obama is unpopular in Europe).[3]

If you wish to be productive as an editor, please respect that article talk pages are for making concrete, plausible suggestions, requests, or questions, not for complaining about the state of Wikipedia or its editors. Also please respect that fringe, opinionated, or overly political material has a very low chance of ending up in articles, and that you can do a lot more good here through working on practical things than things that are disputed. Thanks, Wikidemon (talk) 21:43, 10 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
