Speedy deletion nomination of Kolling foundation

edit

A tag has been placed on Kolling foundation, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Baseball Watcher 02:12, 1 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. I saw your changes to Kolling foundation, and I noticed that the username you have chosen, "Kollingfoundation", seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of a group, company or website. Please note that Wikipedia does not allow usernames that are promotional or appear to be shared by multiple people. Please take a moment to create a new account or request a username change that represents only yourself as an individual. You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and remember that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. GregJackP Boomer! 02:28, 1 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Promotional Editing

edit

It may not be obvious to you, but the Kolling foundation page is promotional in tone. That's because the wording and what is in there only serves to: A) Put the organization in a good light B) Get people to learn about the foundation. This is exactly what is put in advertisements, and we aren't a boat of advertisements. That said, it might not have been your intent to promote, but apparently it shows up in your writing. I would also recommend staying away from the topic in general. Also, we'll have to make you change your username, as we aren't allowed to have usernames that represent a group or a company as a whole, instead, they should represent you. See this for details. Thanks. Thekillerpenguin (talk) 02:32, 1 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual. You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you.
