Welcome edit

Hello, Koliak2991, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

If you are interested in Ukraine-related themes, you may want to check out the Ukraine Portal, particularly the Portal:Ukraine/New article announcements and Portal:Ukraine/Ukraine-related Wikipedia notice board. The New article announcements board is probably the most important and the most attended one. Please don't forget to announce there the new articles you create. Adding both boards to your watchlist is probably a good idea.

Finally, in case you are interested, similar boards exist at Russia portal as many editors contribute to topics related to both countries. The respective boards there are: Portal:Russia/New article announcements and Portal:Russia/Russia-related Wikipedia notice board. Of course there are also many other portals at Wikipedia or you may just get right into editing.

Again, welcome!--Riurik(discuss) 01:56, 28 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Temnozor-SorceryIsStrengtheningtheBlackGloryofRus.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Temnozor-SorceryIsStrengtheningtheBlackGloryofRus.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 08:29, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Crimea, at the time owned by the [Russian Empire], but whose legal status and autonomy has since been disputed edit

Welcome to Wikipedia! It is no problem that you consider yourself Russian (so does my best friend) but in on of your edit's in the Rachel Devirys article you claim that: Crimea, at the time owned by the [Russian Empire], but whose legal status and autonomy has since been disputed. I now it has been disputed in the past but not anymore. In December 2007 President Putin stated that he has no interest in taking over parts of any country. "We do not want to incorporate anyone into Russia because it would be an additional economic burden for us," the president said [[1]]. Let's not try to write about problems who do not exist please. ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
