Welcome, but... I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Democrats of Clark University, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Democrats of Clark University. You may remove the {{dated prod}} template, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. sorry, I did not know what the procedure was.--Knishycous 03:57, 26 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

I feel like this is a proper use of Wikipedia because it allows members of this particular organization and other college Democrats to look at what has been done in the past and be a guide towards future events. I was planning on creating a page for many other student organizations, with the hopes of using it for the same benefit.I am also new to Wikipedia, so I could definitely use some slack.--Knishycous 18:51, 28 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

What you are looking for is something like MySpace, not Wikipedia. Check out WP:NOT to get an idea of what Wikipedia is not (the list is not exhaustive but provides telling examples). We are an encyclopedia, not a bulletin board or a free webspace provider. Fram 06:13, 29 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

I disagree. I think this is the perfect place to put up descriptions of student groups. Student groups are the soul of the University and are often on the same plane as academic performance. Why does the section called "Clark University escort" exist if it were not an important part of the information about the University. My intention is to have a place where people can get information about student groups at Clark University. Not a social discussion about it. --Knishycous 01:59, 2 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Your article Democrats of Clark University was deleted as a repost of an article deleted after consensus at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Democrats of Clark University. Please do not repost it again. If you want a review of the deletion decision, go to Wikipedia:Deletion review. I should caution you that articles on student groups at specific universities are virtually always deleted as nonnotable. NawlinWiki 02:28, 2 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
