History of Malaysia

edit

Thanks for your contributions to that article.

I've reverted your edits - as I said in my edit summary, you have added a great deal of material that is going to be seen as controversial, and much of it is phrased as opinion, which we cannot do. You cannot make statements like: "many people think "x", while really the case is "y"" without strong sourcing. The bulk of the text you have added seems intended to promote one particular opinion about the subject, and does not, to me, appear balanced - rather it asserts an opinion as fact. - see WP:POV.

It's difficult to find balance when writing articles like this, and quite possibly the point of view your edits argue are under-represented in the article - that's why we have article talk pages, so that editors can discuss controversial material. That's why when I reverted your changes I asked you to discuss the content - that's how we edit collaboratively here. The relevant talk page in this case would be Talk:History of Malaysia.

Please don't just re-add the material without starting a discussion on that page, and reaching consensus (WP:CONSENSUS), as that could be seen as edit warring (WP:WAR).

Thank you. Begoontalk 03:58, 19 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
