Hi. When you recently edited Dinocyst, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Quantitative (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion nomination of Siliceous dinoflagellate cysts

edit

Hello Kmertens,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Siliceous dinoflagellate cysts for deletion, because it appears to duplicate an existing Wikipedia article, [[:{{{article}}}]].

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Ratzd'mishukribo (talk) 01:37, 25 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion declined: Siliceous dinoflagellate cysts

edit

Hello Kmertens. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Siliceous dinoflagellate cysts, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: not duplicating content. whether we should have the article is another matter, but this shouldn't be speedied. Thank you. SmartSE (talk) 08:10, 25 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Ways to improve Dinosporin

edit

Hi, I'm Go Phightins!. Kmertens, thanks for creating Dinosporin!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. There are some issues as far as awkward wording, particularly in the lead.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Your new articles

edit

Hallo and welcome to Wikipedia. I've just seen some of your new articles while stub-sorting, and there are a few things you are not getting quite right.

  1. The opening sentence should be a sentence. Almost always the article should start "X is ...", as I've done for your Eleuteroschisis stub (which you started as "Asexual reproduction in which the parent organism completely ...".
  2. Adjectives are rarely appropriate titles for Wikipedia articles: Could you reconsider your article Haplontic and find a noun or phrase which is the real subject of the article, and then Move it or use the {{RM}} system to ask for it to be moved.
  3. The reflist looks better with only one column, when there are only one or two references
  4. Authors' names in references should not be in capitals. I haven't corrected them in the four articles I've looked at, but please do so yourself.
  5. There shouldn't be a space before each reference

Please look at other articles in the encyclopedia to pick up the style we use for articles, and copy the best of them - see Wikipedia:Featured_articles#Biology for some of the best. There's a lot to learn about editing Wikipedia, but it is an interesting journey. Thanks. PamD 15:42, 7 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hello Kmertens. I noticed your new article on this paleontologist. I tried to fix up the prose in the article, as well as adding more links, etc. Please read the article through once again carefully, as I think I may possibly have accidentally changed the meaning here and there while I was in the process of working on the prose. Please correct anything that I may have made incorrect. Best wishes, Invertzoo (talk) 15:50, 9 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Nemo (Belgian band)

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Nemo (Belgian band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Dengero (talk) 13:15, 11 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your nice note Kmertens! I wanted to say the next time you leave a new note on a talk page, please give it a heading. Also, you can very easily sign a note automatically just by putting four of these wiggly things " ~ " (they are called tildes) at the end of your post. When you hit the "Save" button, the software will automatically turn the 4 tildes into your signature, date etc. Best wishes, Invertzoo (talk) 16:36, 11 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Parsifal (record label)

edit

The article Parsifal (record label) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:GNG/WP:NORG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
