editHello, just been reading this.
I'm a bit concerned about whether this material is right for an independent Wikipedia article or whether it would be better in the University of Maryland Libraries article. Wikipedia's policy on deciding whether a topic is right for its own article is at WP:BRANCH - basically, it depends on the collection having received independent attention, rather than just being mentioned on the University of Maryland website. Are there any citations you can add of the collection being discussed elsewhere, by people not connected with the university? In any case, I've copied some of the citations over to the main University of Maryland Libraries article and added a link to this page so people can find it. - OK, got your reply, that sounds good if there are non-UoM citations. It's always really important with Wikipedia articles to figure out what an article can be linked to so people who might be interested but don't know it yet can find it. It might be good to add a link to this page on an article about the occupation of Japan, but I'm not sure where that would go best. Blythwood (talk) 20:28, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
