I love to edit Wikipedia, and, even more, shop for groceries.

Hey Kyle. Thanks for getting in touch. Feel free to drop a note on my talk any time with questions, and let me know when you're choosing topics. Selecting a good one (namely one with lots of reliable sources) is really important. Have fun, The Interior (Talk) 01:14, 10 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Student orientation: how to edit Wikipedia

edit

Hi! I hope you're excited to edit Wikipedia as a part of your class this semester! Since this is likely a new way of completing an assignment and the community norms and expectations are new to you, we've created this awesome orientation for students. It covers a lot of the basics of editing Wikipedia and ways you can use your coursework to improve the encyclopedia. It takes 1-2 hours to complete, and I believe this thorough introduction will save you time in the end. It will help you figure out how to create content that sticks and can serve as a reference throughout your editing. I hope you'll take a look and see what you can learn about the work that goes into creating good articles. Good luck with your assignment, and thanks for editing! Hey Team Chocolate--strong start to the article. A couple of observations: 1) needs more citation of sources within sections; I didn't see any in the first long section Synopsis. Look in US State Department reports to substantiate child slavery reports. I also sent you a link from CNN. 2) maybe the Background section should come before the Production section; Credits should also probably be in a separate section at the end, 3) you shouldn't have links to Web sites in the main text. These should go from citations or from an "external links" section at the end. 4) If you want to include any images see me first, or better yet, ask INterior. -Webster Newbold (talk) 15:52, 1 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Yes, we'll definitely include some images. However, we will have to wait until the article goes live because the promo stills and posters will be copyrighted, and our fair-use rules specify that copyrighted images may only be used in live articles.
