Aerosol, Il Fratello Furbo Di Eragon

edit

The article Aerosol, Il Fratello Furbo Di Eragon has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 19:10, 3 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Kitia. Will you take a look at the talk page for the L'Engle navigation box? Someone has suggested two alternate colors to make it more readable. We need another opinion on which one is better. Thanks! Karen | Talk | contribs 19:15, 10 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Kitflat.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Kitflat.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. ~ BigrTex 18:06, 16 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re: Curiosity Killed the Cat

edit

Would you much mind if I merged your Wikipedia:Curiosity killed the cat with Wikipedia: Don't stuff beans up your nose? It's been suggested and, frankly, I think it's a good idea. -Toptomcat 13:12, 18 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Just a heads-up

edit

It's usually a good idea to write edit summaries, especially after such big deletions as this one. Most editors coming across something like that with no edit summary will assume that it was vandalism... Esn 02:31, 20 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Strange errors

edit

Hello Kitia. Firstly I would like to thank you for all your contributions to wikipedia - it is appreciated. I write to you because I came across an article you created which was, well, quite incorrect. You created the article on Frans Buissink and stated that he is a Norwegian artist and gymnast, while he actually a Dutch artist and writer. (Source: his personal website, in Dutch). Interestingly, the date of birth, educational and marriage information was correct. I don't know where you got this information or how this error came about, or whether other articles you have created might have similar problems - but it might be worth looking into from your side. Information that is plain incorrect is quite harmful to wikipedia.

Regards, S Sepp 13:45, 21 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

I probably was thinking that but wrote something else. Anyway, I don't remember creating that article in the first place... Thanks for correcting my information! ''[[User:Kitia|Kitia]] 15:27, 21 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re: Across Five Aprils

edit

The article I deleted was not about a book, but about a band; the article utterly failed notability standards. RadioKirk (u|t|c) 01:08, 23 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

I have restored the article about the book; please note that a reliable source must be cited for the award or it, too, fails WP:N. Also, since the article is not a disambiguation page, any reference to the band must stay out; if it ever becomes notable, a new page (such as Across Five Aprils (band)) can be created. Thanks. :) RadioKirk (u|t|c) 01:27, 23 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unspecified source for Image:Jerryspinelli-1-.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Jerryspinelli-1-.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 22:04, 31 January 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. gren グレン 22:04, 31 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Some of your recent edits have been considered unhelpful or unconstructive and have been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.. Please do not wipe the information about how many days are in the month and which days it started on. Furthermore please do not remove the holidays section as usually holidays are added from the Portal:Current events/Sidebar at the end of the month. See February 2007 for the standard. Re:I'm getting angry

edit

Please try and remain civil. I suggest you read WP:NOT and WP:OWN. The Portal:Current events month by month inclusion has been transcluded on the page since the beginning of Wikipedia. Furthermore, it is not up to you to accept or reject the contributions of others. The messages I posted on your talk page are standard warnings to which both were justified. You blanked useful information from the first edit, and the second you changed the heading which in the history of your recent edits, is also removing useful information. Also, all the 2007 months have been set to that standard. I've spent the last month greatly improving these articles from simple transclusions of the events from the Portal:Current events to include more information such as the length of the month, when it starts and ends, as well as other international holidays. I will let your threat of action pass as its a breach of WP:CIVIL. If you are unhappy with my changes, you can bring them up on any one of the talk pages. Mkdwtalk 23:01, 11 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Template:Lancaster County, Pennsylvania

I reverted your edit to {{Lancaster County, Pennsylvania}} as it set it back to the old table based navigation box, not the newer standard US County Nav Box. If there is some reason for your edit I have missed, please excuse my revert and let me know why you did this. Thanks, Ruhrfisch 00:39, 17 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Template:Allegheny County, Pennsylvania

edit

I reverted your edit to {{Allegheny County, Pennsylvania}}. Although McCandless has town in its name, it is still considered by the state of Pennsylvania to be a township (there are nearly 20 boroughs with "City" in their name, but they are not legally cities either. There is only one official town in Pennsylvania: Bloomsburg. For reference please see here where it is listed with the other townships in the state (and this is an official state document). License tagging for Image:Mitsch-C3-BCler1-1-.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Mitsch-C3-BCler1-1-.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 15:09, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

Image tagging for Image:Wunschbrunnen-1-.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Wunschbrunnen-1-.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
