July 2023 edit

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because your account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
  • Provide a new username.

To do this, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Request reason:

This page is not intended to promote a business or product but rather to provide a factual summary of a not-for-profit organisation. The organisation would not receive any compensation or monetary benefit from this page existing. I understand the terms of the block placed on my account, and acknowledge that language I may have used may appear to be promoting or advertising, and as such I will refrain from using such language and maintain a neutral, unbiased reporting of the article topic.

Decline reason:

What you call "provide a factual summary" is considered promotional on Wikipedia. You don't have to be selling something, soliciting customers, or engaged in for-profit activity. Wikipedia is not a place for organizations to tell the world about themselves, even if they do good work. Wikipedia articles summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about(in this case) an organization, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable organization. Wikipedia is not interested in what an organization says about itself, only in what others unconnected with the organization choose to say about it and what makes it important/significant/influential as they see it(not as the organization itself sees it).
You misunderstand the paid editing policy; the orgnanization does not have to recieve a monetary benefit. The paid editing policy refers to the editor themselves, and doesn't just involve receiving money. If you are employed by the organization, or even an unpaid volunteer, it is considered "paid editing". You do not need to be specifically paid to edit. Volunteer work can still count as "paid editing" as typically volunteer work is put on a resume to obtain future employment- one is compensated with the experience You won't be unblocked to, in the short term, edit about your organization. If that is your only goal here, this is the end of the road. If you are interested in being a more general contributor and editing about topics for which you have no conflict of interest. please tell what those might be. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 08:21, 1 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
