Proposed deletion of List of hospitals in Surat

The article List of hospitals in Surat has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Wikipedia is not a directory. The grouped hospitals must be notable together for some other reason than simply existing in Surat.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. @Darcyisverycute similer articles are already there ..see List of hospitals in India there are many articles like this on wikipedia. i don't this i have done something that should not be on wikipedia Kingaayaan (talk) 14:19, 3 January 2024 (UTC)

Compared to list of hospitals in India, which has a specific inclusion criteria (all listed entries must be notable enough for their own article) and is about an entire country, list of hospitals in Surat is about just one city and there is no clear inclusion criteria. You are of course free to object by removing the PROD, but I do believe WP:NOTDIRECTORY applies here and I may open an WP:AFD later. You are of also free to just add entries to list of hospitals in India instead, which I think may be preferable. Darcyisverycute (talk) 14:42, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
