I don't understand this close. Despite the numerical superiority, WP:NOTAVOTE and WP:AADD certainly come to mind; as a great deal of the "keep" arguments are simply saying "This is useful" or more openly simply saying "Per X" without addressing the counter-arguments or the very basic WP:NOTSTATS and WP:LISTN issues (to quote myself: ""the particularly large amount of scholarly attention in WP:RS to these subjects" would ideally require that you provide actual sources to demonstrate this statement"). There's even some blatant copy-pasting, for ex. "Useful and valid WP:SPLITLISTs" was copied by Notwisconsin without any further rationale and without even addressing the original counter-arguments to Mdewman6's post beginning with the same. It is absolutely impossible for this to be closed as "delete", when you are the only person with a strong argument for it. If we're deciding between "keep" and "merge", I left open that possibility pending further discussion on the talk page. -- King of ♥ 14:30, 20 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
I reckon there was a reasonable case for a merge which would have made more sense as a close (being a possible alternative to deletion, even if I personally might not like it too much) than keeping. RandomCanadian (talk / contribs) 01:37, 21 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

DYK for Crawfurd v The Royal Bank edit

On 23 September 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Crawfurd v The Royal Bank, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Crawfurd v The Royal Bank (1749) established in Scots law that a bona fide recipient of stolen banknotes cannot be forced to return them to their original owner? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Crawfurd v The Royal Bank. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Crawfurd v The Royal Bank), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Request to delete local copies edit

Hello KoH! May I request the deletions of local images of File:ABS-CBN, side view (Sgt. Esguerra, Quezon City)(2019-05-27).jpg, File:Antipolo Church (Antipolo, Rizal)(2018-05-27).jpg, and File:Baclaran Church (close-up) (Roxas Boulevard cor. Redemptorist, Paranaque)(2017-12-31).jpg? All of the Commons copies have been restored courtesy of recently-accepted consensus on 1951–72 Philippine buildings. Thanks. JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 02:44, 26 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

File:1939 Pacific hurricane season.png edit

Hi there King of Hearts, and I hope that you're well. File:1939 Pacific hurricane season.png is original research. The tracks WPTC use are from the National Hurricane Center or other government agencies, and thus differ from this track map. Destroyer (Alternate account) 16:05, 26 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Destroyeraa: I have no objections to removal over content concerns. I simply reverted you because the reason you removed the image (being a copyvio) is not true. -- King of ♥ 18:05, 26 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
