Administrators' newsletter – October 2019 edit

News and updates for administrators from the past month (September 2019).

  Guideline and policy news

  • Following a discussion, a new criterion for speedy category renaming was added: C2F: One eponymous article, which applies if the category contains only an eponymous article or media file, provided that the category has not otherwise been emptied shortly before the nomination. The default outcome is an upmerge to the parent categories.

  Technical news

  • As previously noted, tighter password requirements for Administrators were put in place last year. Wikipedia should now alert you if your password is less than 10 characters long and thus too short.

  Arbitration

  Miscellaneous

  • The Community Tech team has been working on a system for temporarily watching pages, and welcomes feedback.

Proposed deletion of Madrileños por el Mundo edit

The article Madrileños por el Mundo has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:BURDEN. Unsourced and tagged as such, since Sept 2015.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. —S Marshall T/C 21:36, 11 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Request move edit

Hello, I'm Hatto0467!

You moved Japanese singer Kenshi Yonezu song "Lemon" to this page.

I appreciated your help so much!

If you are no problem, can you move Yonezu song "Uma to shika" to this name's article again? --Hatto0467 (talk) 08:45, 13 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
