American and British English spelling differences

edit

Many words are spelled differently in the USA from those of our friends across the ocean. The "correction" made in the article Kelp; reflects a misunderstanding which we hope does not offend the British. To avoid an international crisis, you may wish to review this article: American and British English spelling differences, regarding er / re. Cheers! --JimmyButler (talk) 14:31, 16 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

...its been about a month now, not too much work done/being done, hope you have a good explination for that at the end of the year when you sit down with the big cheese...--NYMFan69-86 (talk) 18:41, 2 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

To add on to User:NYMFan69-86 above,

There is no excuse for not editing. Do yourself a favor, and edit now while you can work at a relaxed pace. You’ll soon find that that’s how Wikipedia functions. Procrastination only yields a failing grade and a poorly written article. You might want to check out these things if you haven’t already: Article views:[1],[2]. edit count. Also, if you have a wikipedia-related problem that’s stopping you from editing or need some help, feel free to ask by posting a message on my, User:NYMFan69-86, User:JimmyButler, etc.’s talk pages. –Vancemiller (talk · contribs · count · email) 22:25, 18 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

EBSCO access?

edit

Im just curious to see how you accessed ebsco from home to construct the reprocuction section. Is there like a login we can use from home? I'd really like to use the database for some updates. Thanks!--M rickabaugh (talk) 23:48, 22 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

I've gained access here...if it's indeed the same source.--NYMFan69-86 (talk) 02:52, 23 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
The recently added sections have no references... it will be a nightmare to source this at a later date. Format it the best you can -- someone can clean it up for you later --JimmyButler (talk) 18:56, 23 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Comparative anatomy

edit

One concern with prose that needs editing: Surely a structure used to fly would not be the ideal structure for swimming would it? Encyclopedia's rarely phrase information in a question format. Also, to receive points for the reference - learn how to insert an in-line reference so that the reference at the bottom is connected to the text added (viewed as a number in the body of the text). Also - spelling errors and typos show up as underlined in red when in the edit mode. We want to correct misspelled words - not add any. Fix those and we can count the 10pts. --JimmyButler (talk) 15:37, 17 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
