Re: Colder

I don't think I/we should look further: your source is perfect. Best regards. M.L. 82.84.31.195 (talk) 05:37, 14 February 2018 (UTC)

Closer as opposed to Colder? Sure. Appreciation and thanks. Appreciate your observation even if via IP status. Still A Means To An End Thanks. Key.--Kieronoldham (talk) 05:47, 14 February 2018 (UTC)
Oops: your source is Australian but doesn't have that information. I tried to find one right, but I didn't find it. Ps: sorry for the lapsus clavis, I was thinking about this song, soo much Joy Division-like. Mauro. 82.84.31.195 (talk) 07:08, 14 February 2018 (UTC)
You're welcome, Mauro Lanari. I think our unsuccessful attempts to find a source warrant removal from the article, but it may be better to take this proposal to the talk page first? Regards, --Kieronoldham (talk) 21:38, 14 February 2018 (UTC)
In that article there are other unsourced information. What do you suggest to do? --Mauro Lanari (talk) 22:22, 14 February 2018 (UTC)
The article has 44 watchers, Mauro Lanari. Maybe remove the Australian chart position with this as a justification explanation on a subsequent talk page message describing the removal. If anyone can find the reference for this (if it actually exists), they can be more than welcome to reinsert it? Any other dubious information, maybe add citation needed requests? Regards.--Kieronoldham (talk) 22:44, 14 February 2018 (UTC)
Then all right, go ahead and edit. --Mauro Lanari (talk) 22:51, 14 February 2018 (UTC)
Mauro Lanari.   Done.--Kieronoldham (talk) 23:30, 14 February 2018 (UTC)

Off the bottle

That's a good source for what the individual items are, but it doesn't address the (alleged) conflation of the two, either. I've never known anybody to confuse them, & I'd be inclined just to remove the claim. TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 03:51, 20 February 2018 (UTC)

Be my guest, Trekphiler. I was going to insert it as I have the ISBN, but couldn't find the actual page number. The citation request has been there since 2012 and I just thought it high time the CN was removed. Best regards.--Kieronoldham (talk) 03:56, 20 February 2018 (UTC)
With Google Books, I just use the url; if somebody can "point" it to the page number, more power to 'em. Anybody who wants to find the specific can use the search. And, FYI, I did remove the claim as too dubious. TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 06:40, 20 February 2018 (UTC)

Precious

music and murder

Thank you for detailed expansion of articles about bands such as The Undertones, and about disappearance and murder, such as Murder of the Grimes sisters, for improving references and precision, for uploading cover art and your images, for service from 2008, for a barnstar in time, - you are an awesome Wikipedian!

--Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:48, 4 March 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for the kudos, Gerda Arendt. I find Wiki. to be a rewarding experience. Not many people seem to populate these articles in depth, which is primarily why I focus on articles of this nature. I just compartmentalize psyche on a lot of the topics I populate. Regards. --Kieronoldham (talk) 00:21, 5 March 2018 (UTC)

I am German, can you say compartamentalize simpler? ;) - For the soul, a song without words --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:35, 5 March 2018 (UTC)
Sure, Gerda Arendt. :) Basically, it means to successfully detach or segregate my sentiments or psychology, in the topics I write about, because many have distressing content. Kindest regards, and all the best to yous.--Kieronoldham (talk) 00:52, 6 March 2018 (UTC)

Walker County Jane Doe

Next for your to-do list could be Walker County Jane Doe ? Paul Benjamin Austin (talk) 08:32, 9 March 2018 (UTC)

Possibly, Paul Benjamin Austin. I've heard of that case. The current one I'm populating has a lot of information still to add, so it may take a wee while. Kez.--Kieronoldham (talk) 01:05, 10 March 2018 (UTC)

Insult

Links to German language wikipedia articles are not useful or sensible on English wikipedia. Your edit summary suggesting that you think that it's somehow "pedantic" to say that doesn't make any sense, and seems intended merely as a cheap insult. See WP:NPA. Inateadaze (talk) 16:27, 11 March 2018 (UTC)

You can interpret that as you wish, if it suits you (not that I infer it as such). I actually deemed your revert explanation of "Write an article about him if you feel he meets notability requirements!" as an arid abrasion, Inateadaze. Certainly more offensive than the use of the word pedantic re: the link to the German Karl Berg Wiki. article. I just think it's layman to change the lede to "described by a doctor" when Berg performed ext. psychological studies of the day on Kürten, testified at his trial, wrote a best-selling, acclaimed book of the day on him, and was one of (certainly Germany's) most renowned experts in his profession of the era. Suppose both our views were for the best, though. Keep on truckin'. Regards.--Kieronoldham (talk) 23:13, 11 March 2018 (UTC)

Joy Division

Kieron, can you please check my recent edits for typos etc. I'm Irish and as such never claimed I could spell in the fancy English way. (by the way Ciaran is a very common name here. But's usually spelled as in Ciarán Hinds). Ceoil (talk) 10:07, 31 March 2018 (UTC)

No worries, Ceoil. I'll get around to this for you. I'm half Irish myself and that's why I have the name I have, but with the version of the spelling as it is. My father is from Ballymurphy and is Catholic; my mother is from Lytham St Annes and was C of E.--Kieronoldham (talk) 21:16, 31 March 2018 (UTC)
Thanks Kieron and nice work. Ballymurphy Eh? He must have a strong accent, me also but from the far south. Long ago I was obsessed with the JD page, with my lost friend Wesley Dodds. For me its all about Martin Hannett. Ceoil (talk) 09:09, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
You're welcome, Ceoil. Others such as Mauro Lanari have largely populated this article more than me though (I primarily focused on the Ian Curtis one). Yes my Dad's accent is still notable, but has diluted somewhat over the years. Wesley Dodds lol.--Kieronoldham (talk) 22:57, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
