RealBASIC
editHey, I like your changes to the RealBASIC page, but can you please use the minor edit checkbox only for trivial edits? Thanks--SirNuke 04:50, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
Major language
editI'd reverted your edit on the template, Whatever REALBasic is, it is not major programming language. The template is too vague and hopefully will be deleted at some time. Pavel Vozenilek 01:40, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
- As an FYI, REALbasic has 100,000+ users, and I'm reasonably sure OCaml, Tcl and others aren't as commercially wide-spread, yet they're included in the template. ;-) BudVVeezer 18:45, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
Where to place a template request?
editI would like to request a template to make a list of external references in a consistent way. In many articles, the list of external links is made in different ways: there is who puts a dot at the end (and sometimes he doesn't keep to put it along all the list), there is who puts a reference to the language used in the page referenced before the link, and who puts it before the link. --Kiamlaluno 14:15, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
- Templates already exist. {{Cite web}}, {{Cite journal}}, {{Cite book}}. Look on their pages and talk pages for how to use them.--Commander Keane 15:12, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
- I was thinking more to a template to create the full list of links like seen in the "External links" section, not the single entries.
- The {{Cite web}} is fine, but it requires the accessdate parameter (never used in "External links"). --Kiamlaluno (talk) 00:37, 20 August 2011 (UTC)
- I'm not aware of such a template. You might like to try the Help desk to get more advice.--Commander Keane 18:32, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
Problems with Internet Explorer 6.0 and Wikipedia
editI lately have problems with Internet Explorer 6.0 on Windows XP HE SP2 while browsing some Wikipedia pages. If I move the mouse over the "user toolbar" (which is the top toolbar that permits you to log in / log out, see your preferences, etc...) it slides to the left side of the page, under the Wikipedia logo, and I cannot select the first two links.
It doesn't happen to all the pages, and I didn't notice this issue if not on the last days.
Is there a way to eliminate this problem?
--Kiamlaluno 14:21, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Kiam! I'm not sure what the problem is. I suggest you ask at WP:VP/T or Wikipedia_talk:Computer_help_desk where more technically able Wikipedians will see the question.--Commander Keane 15:01, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the suggestion. I will ask at Wikipedia_talk:Computer_help_desk. --Kiamlaluno 18:34, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
Sorry you had to put your link in twice. I was going to re-add it after I sorted out all the references the anonymous user deleted. Thanks for fixing it :) .:.Jareth.:. babelfish 18:39, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
ez Publish
editI see that you removed several citation requests on eZ Publish. If you are going to remove these, please ensure that you include a link to back up these statements. Wikipedia should cite sources. Thanks. JamminBen (talk) 22:54, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
Open source licenses
editI see that you have made quite a few changes to that page. None of that is substantiated by new links or references, and seem to me more like promotion of certain un proven licenses —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.165.4.61 (talk) 05:56, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
- I just sorted the list alphabetically. I didn't sort it basing on personal preferences on licenses. --Kiamlaluno (talk) 19:30, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
