There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:
    Fight vandalism
Be a WikiFairy or a WikiGnome
    Help contribute to articles

    Perform maintenance tasks
Become a member of a project that interests you
    Help design new templates

Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the   button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.

The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your userpage.

Success

edit

Khwright1, Congrats on making your first edits in Wikipedia! You have formatting down and I liked your bulleted list. You're almost done! One of the strengths of Wikipedia is making links between articles and across the site. You can make a link by placing double brackets before and after an article term, like the "University of Southern Indiana." I made that a link on your user page. Can you make a few more? Have fun with Wikipedia and Welcome, Crtew (talk) 21:51, 27 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Signing messages

edit

Khwright1, I saw you recently left me a message. After you write your message, please add four tildes, which are right below the escape key on your keyboard. Those tildes signal Wikipedia to autosign your message, create a link to reply and leave a time stamp. Pretty handy for four key strokes! Give it a try, Crtew (talk) 21:54, 27 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Najwa Qassem

edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your user subpage at User:Khwright1/Najwa Qassem may not meet Wikipedia's user page guideline because The collaboration page for the class project is now in another user's space. Thank you for doing your part.. If you believe that your userpage does not violate our guidelines, please leave a note on this page. As an alternative, you may add {{Db-userreq}} to the top of the page in question and an administrator will delete it, or you can simply edit the page so that it meets Wikipedia's userpage guidelines. Thank you. Crtew (talk) 15:44, 16 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

I have read your wiki article and I have just a few suggestions. On the Impact section explain how it affected both the Americans and the Mexicans, use detail and become more elaborate in that section if possible. I am assuming you could not find any quality pictures of either person for your info box. My last suggestion is with the reaction section of your article. Much like I said in the impact section this too needs to become more detailed and elaborate more on how the citizens don't want to become another Columbia. Other than that I thought you provided the information that was needed. Good job. Tjnichols (talk) 03:57, 13 November 2013 (UTC)TjnicholsReply

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/The murder of Fernando Balderas and Yolanda Figueroa, a page you created, has not been edited in 6 months. Hello Khwright1. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "The murder of Fernando Balderas and Yolanda Figueroa".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/The murder of Fernando Balderas and Yolanda Figueroa}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Rankersbo (talk) 07:03, 21 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
