How do I ask others for help without being pulled up for canvassing (I've already read the matter at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Requests_for_comment)? WP:RFC and notifications at community places, such as WikiProjects, fall within the appropriate means of gathering community participation as explained at WP:CANVASS. Where you will draw problems in terms of canvassing would be to notify individuals at places where you know or even believe would benefit only one side of the discussion. I would strongly discourage you to notify people off-Wikipedia. You will also need to ensure that when you notify people that you do not present your own argument with out equally and fairly presenting the other side. Generally people avoid this by simply notifying people that a discussion regarding a certain topic is taking place and do not mention your own preference of the situation. Copying citations from other articles

You said at Talk:Terrorism in Pakistan#Reverts by Smsarmad that you had copied citations from other articles. If you do this, you still have to check that the citations are valid. This means that the citations have to be: 1. Relevant. 2. Back the material you are providing them as sources for. 3. Archiving bot

If you look at my talk page you will see that I have an archiving bot set up. You will see that the bot is also set up on some article talk pages - e.g. Talk:Salafi movement. You might want to try experimenting with this feature on your own talk page. If things are archived by a bot, it takes all the heat out of their being archived. Khabboos - "You are topic-banned (see WP:TBAN) from the topic of Islam as related to India, Pakistan and Afghanistan." This means that if you write anything about Islam or about Moslems in those countries, on any article or talk page, you will be blocked and your edits reverted. This includes persecution of people, rape, riots, refugees, forcible conversion... anything. So consequently, you cannot continue posting hate statements about Moslems as discussed in your post of 09:40, 26 March 2014. It is all explained at WP:TBAN.

You can write things that do not mention Islam or Moslems.

The reason I posted this was that in the multitude of sanctions this user has received, I lost track of the precise nature of their t-ban, and thought they had violated it. I have not encountered them outside the India-Pakistan-Afghanistan area, because that is my primary overlap with them; so, I can't comment on their behaviour elsewhere. I don't know the history of your topic ban, but if you were to exercise the same types of behavior (which got you topic banned) in articles about other nations, then the ban could be extended to the subject, regardless of nation. Topic bans usually include mention of the subject, even on one's own talk page. It would be the behavior, not just the nations, which would be the target of the topic ban. So, be careful to avoid anything that is even similar to such behavior. If you do that, you should be okay. -- Brangifer (talk) 14:52, 1 July 2014 (UTC)
