35th Guards Air Assault Brigade edit

Thanks for this one; much appreciated. Do note that (a) the separate brigade are almost invariably 'Landing-Assault Brigades', which the reliable sources translate as 'Air Assault Brigades' (you've figured this one out) and as front-level or district-level forces, they were not part of the VDV. As I indicated when I removed the entry for the 21st DShBr after moving it to the Kiev MD, they were part of the Ground Forces. Many thanks again, Buckshot06 (talk) 10:55, 4 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Волостнов Н. И., "Гвардия в огне", IS NOT "On the Borders of Fire" edit

(a) Author is same or very similar, yes, but the book is different. Гвардия в огне ("Guards in the Fire" or some such), published at Gorki in 1979, IS NOT "On the Borders of Fire", published by Voenizdat, the Military Publishing House, at Moscow in 1983. (b) As far as I know there is no rule saying all bibliographic references need to be translated. Thus please be more careful with the references. Buckshot06 (talk) 07:49, 11 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Request for assistance with articles on 1919 events in Kiev edit

Hello, Kges1901. This is Zee money (I started the article 224th Infantry Regiment (United States) that you finished). I created three articles about events took place in 1919 in Kiev, Ukraine. They are Battle of Kiev (January 1919), Capture of Kiev by the White Army and Battle of Kiev (December 1919). They have corresponding articles in the Russian and Ukrainian wikipedias. I have had trouble finding English-language because of the similar circumstances, location and time period of these events. A lot of articles in the Russian and Ukrainian wikipedias don't have corresponding articles in English (e.g. there are 856 articles on Recipients of the Order of Lenin in the english wikipedia, but almost 3,000 in the Ukrainian wikipedia and over 22,600 in the Russian wikipedia). Many thanks for bringing 37 GRD totally up to date to 2015ish. Any divisions you deal with in the Belorussian Military District after the war can be checked to see if they're listed at North Western Operational Command. We don't have an article for the counterpart Western Op Comd yet. Cheers and many thanks Buckshot06 (talk) 22:06, 25 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for all your hard work on Heroes of the Soviet Union etc. Please remember to add them to List of Heroes of the Soviet Union so the overall index page in English can be put together at some point. Many thanks Buckshot06 (talk) 04:56, 26 December 2015 (UTC)My apologies - seems you created those list pages, so there's no particular need to tie into anyone else's work.
