Speedy deletion nomination of Purefoods–Rain or Shine rivalry

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Purefoods–Rain or Shine rivalry requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organized event (tour, function, meeting, party, etc.), but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Rivalry edits

edit

Unless you can provide valid sources for your short articles on assorted rivalries they will continue to be deleted. Please note that a valid source is an article in a magazine or national news publication (not a website) which specifically mentions the rivalry. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 12:07, 29 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Purefoods–Alaska rivalry

The article Purefoods–Alaska rivalry has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unless the creator could provide a ref about the info in the infobox and not just doing his original research, this should be deleted instead. Also, the this "rivalry" should be established as a article-worthy rivalry (overloading refs in a single sentence doesn't help)

Purefoods-Alaska rivalry

edit

I have check the page. I'll make contributions sooner but to add on the championship meeting, Purefoods and Alaska played five more times in the PBA championship. 1996 PBA All-Filipino, 1997 Governors Cup, 2000 All-Filipino, 2002 Governors Cup and 2009-2010 Philippine Cup. You can refer to the 1996 PBA All-Filipino Cup Finals, 1997 PBA Governors Cup Finals, etc.

You can add a semifinals meeting as well where Purefoods and Alaska played in the 1999 Governors Cup (3-0 for Alaska) and 2005-2006 Philippine Cup (4-3 for Purefoods). I'll try to recall as much trivias I can. Edmon74 00:32, 31 March 2017 (UTC)
