October 2022 edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article, or a draft for a Wikipedia article, about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Good morning and THANK YOU so much for reviewing the article about Kevin Creekman so quickly. This is an article for Kevin Creekman, not by Kevin Creekman. I follow Kevin on Tik Tok and on Instagram and am interested in his transformation story as well as career. Mr. Creekman's social media presence has grown based on his weight loss story and his daily touch points with his followers through his live streaming on Tik Tok. It will be a great accomplishment for me and for Kevin to have his article published. I will advise Mr. Creekman he has full rights to review and suggest edits once it is published. Please let me know what you need from me to prove this is an article about Kevin Creekman, not from him.

Hi ElementalPub, there's a couple of important points you need to be aware of if you are going to attempt to create a new Wikipedia article. First, an article about a person is not that person's article, or an article for the person – it is (as you say) an article about the person. Creekman will not have any right to review edits to the article – it is true that he will be able to suggest edits on the article talk page, but he can't decide what it should say. The exception would be if there was clear vandalism – replacing the article with a string of profanities, say. This is a policy you need to be aware of. Secondly, a biographical article on Wikipedia is not based on the person's own websites or social media accounts, nor on publications connected to the person (such as a bio on a website he works for). It is based on what has been published about the person in reliable , independent , and secondary sources; a biography about a living person has especially strict sourcing requirements. The relevant policy is here. Thirdly, "notable", as Wikipedia defines the term, has nothing to do with "worthiness", with being inspiring, or with deserving to be better known. "Notable" essentially means "already noted", in other words, that there is significant coverage in the kind of sources I just mentioned. Interviews such as the ones in Inkmag and Men's Health can maybe be used to verify relevant facts, but they don't show any notability. The number of followers shown in his social media profiles is entirely irrelevant, too. Here is the notability guideline for biographies. Fourthly, there can't be any kind of promotion or marketingspeak in an article about Creekman. Almost nothing in the text you posted here would be possible to include in a Wikipedia article. That applies to the style as well as to the facts included in the text. This may sound harsh, but from your posts here and at the Articles for Creation help desk it looks like you might be heading for a lot of frustration unless you read up on the relevant policies and guidelines. This is extremely helpful. I will review these articles you have included and make another attempt on the article as well as review additional and more relevant resources. 2601:840:8781:3E80:24E2:C1F4:3D2F:46B7 (talk) 15:02, 27 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

I am more of a subject matter expert on Kevin Creekman. I have never met him face to face, and although I may interact with his content and from time to time he interacts with his followers, I do not actually know him. However, I do want to make him aware of his article after it is published but would do so via social media. I am not paid by Mr. Creekman to write this article, nor do I have any sort of affiliation with any of his business dealings. Once my username is updated, I will make the necessary declarations to remove any obstacle here of publishing the article. Thank you for helping clear the path.
