Hi yes,

I Work in Barretstown Castle and created the history that you see at http://www.barretstown.org/content.asp?ContentId=513. This text is my own work, I put it up on wiki because I have had a number of questions about the history of Barretstown and I believed WIKI to be a good source of information so I decided to put a page for the history of the castle up here.

Is the article going to remain on the site or must I fill in a form or some proof that I have rights to use this text and these images.

• Hi. That should be OK, but see the detailed instructions in the notice above, first and third bullet points, "If you have permission from the author" and "If you hold the copyright to the material" for what you need to do. I will take off the speedy-deletion tag for the moment. Just asserting permission is not enough, you have to release the material under the GFDL which means you agree that anyone can copy it from Wikipedia and use it for any purpose. I have sent an email from my work address to Permissions, stating that this work is my own work. Is there something else I must do because when I search in Wiki for Barretstown Castle there is a big message still from the Coren Search Bot.

We are in receipt of your letter, but do request some clarification. Please check your e-mail and, when convenient, respond. Meanwhile, the article has been temporarily blanked pending resolution of this matter. We do this just to be sure that we are protecting copyright until we have a usable release. Likewise, I have "redirected" your userpage here, since it contains some of the same text. Once the permission letter is processed, the material will be restored.

I had already stated that all the work for Barretstown Castle is mine. I work at Barretstown castle and the information and images at www.barretstown.org are my work and I put them on the site and on the wiki page.

Please advise.
