username policy edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "KevinBien1923", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it appears to be in violation of WP:IMPERSONATE. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. I have changed my username once according to the policy you brought to my attention. My username is not my real name nor am I impersonating anyone. The name I chose is to honor somone I have a great deal of respect for and is now deceased. I would ask that you stop harassing me about this as you're starting to aggravate me. Hi, appreciate your reply. As you may have noticed from my profile, AGCO is a client of mine. Would you be willing to add a statement to your profile clarifying that your username is a tribute and that you are not actually Kevin Bien? We hope to avoid unnecessary confusion. Thank you. Certainly. I have added that notation to my profile to clarify the username is a tribute. KevinBien1923 (talk) 21:38, 16 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thank you kindly! Mary Gaulke (talk) 13:15, 17 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Copying licensed material requires attribution edit

Hi. I see in a recent addition to Hydrotreated vegetable oil you included material from a webpage that is available under a compatible Creative Commons Licence. That's okay, but you have to give attribution so that our readers are made aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself. It's also required under the terms of the license. I've added the attribution for this particular instance. Please make sure that you follow this licensing requirement when copying from compatibly-licensed material in the future. — Diannaa (talk) 13:53, 8 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thank you very much. I am new to many facets of Wikipedia and I do not intend or want to plagarize. Thank you for helping me correct this error! 209.222.188.94 (talk) 14:48, 8 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message edit

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:54, 28 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
