It is felt that the article you created at Kev Boy is not suitable for a Wikipedia article, which are about notable and verifable people. I have moved it to User:Kev Boy, which is where users are free to write about themselves. As a user page it is likely to survive untouched. -- Francs2000 14:59, 7 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Valve Hammer Editor

edit

Hey, I noticed you added that "Models can cast shadows, even in fullbright" to the Valve Hammer Editor page. I don't know what you mean by this, it's incorrect; fullbright by definition means no lighting and no shadows. Try it yourself. Models do not show or recieve lighting in any way. I'm going to revert this, please let me know if you can clarify or correct this, since as-is it's not right. Thanks. --midkay 05:43, 9 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Can I see a screenshot? --midkay 23:53, 11 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Oh, dynamic shadows. Well, these don't require any beforehand computation, so yeah. I'm talking about static shadows, as is the article; I'll clarify it. :) --midkay 06:59, 13 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Hindenburg Lounge.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Hindenburg Lounge.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 06:04, 16 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:CS Fawlty Towers Outside.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:CS Fawlty Towers Outside.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 15:49, 23 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fanboy talk

edit

Deleting original-research or unsourced "common knowledge" speculation about why a game succeeded or failed is fine, but please don't delete sourced sections on critical reception as "fanboy talk". --McGeddon (talk) 13:43, 23 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Your edits are unconstructive. Push your points of view somewhere else. Fanboy talk? et tu brutus? xenocidic (talk) 14:16, 23 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm afraid I don't understand your point about "cookie cutter" philosophy. Critical reception is a useful piece of context for any videogame article. I'm 100% behind you on deleting original research from fans, but these are reviews from reliable sources. --McGeddon (talk) 14:24, 23 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
